The wall was between the existing kitchen and small dining room. Now our clients will have a lovelly size kitchen/family room to enjoy.

And another decent opening for some lovelly clients who are self building.

Quick chimney removal in St Albans.

We got our heads together with our structural engineer to work out the best way to support the roof of this 4 story block of flats in London.

Not only did we need to ensure no weight was place on the floor but we also needed to work out a way to lift the beams up 3 floors via an internal stairwell. We also had to work out how to cut some of the floor joists bearings off, without disturbing the below neighbours ceiling.

The install was a successful one but it was also a difficult one. As always we learnt lots which only adds to our armoury.

This install would have been very difficult and almost impossible without the close relationship we have with our SE.

We were really pleased and proud to complete this very tricky install while managing to evade causing any remedial works what so ever.

Along side creating openings for bi folding or sliding doors, this is one of our most common steel installs.

We cant wait to remove these masonry columns for our clients in St Albans...

Their days of rubber necking around them are numbered 💪

This project was very technical and very tricky to ensure the other residents of this block of flats were not involved.

The flat was on the top 2 floors which meant we had to carry all our heavy equipment up by hand including the steels and the tempary works steels.

We also had 4 pad stones to set on site including one between the floors which meant we were concreting within millimeters of the plastered ceiling of the neighbour below 🫨.

Happy clients, no disgruntled neighbours and off to the next one 👌

We love dealing with the very intrusive faux pas which we come across very often. They make an otherwise lovelly family space very frustrating and unsociable.

Extensions and conservatories where the structural columns are left in place. It may feel like a good money saver at the time but it's a compromise that is genrally regretted in years to come.

Another double goal post install. This was in Bovingdon. Our teams really enjoy these type of installs. The head beams are both situated within the ceiling void to create a flush ceiling right through to the high line door set.

A few tricky & technical parts to this to ensure the internal steels were right as our client wanted them all hidden.

We got there in the end with some good team work between our structural engineer and building control.

We did this a short while ago for some lovelly clients in Codicote.

Another of what we call the faux pas install. Its basically where previous owners leave a masonry pier in the middle of the room following an extension. You can see the patch in the floor where old masonry pier was.

This was another very tight space to get the full width beam in and working around their kitchen that they were keeping. We even managed to re build the bearing piers without taking out the work surface.

We are very happy with the new space we have created and our clients were too.

We love a full frame install. Always a challenge and always satisfying to complete!

Very rare we install such a light set of beams and in this fashion. It was an interesting install and required a bit of head scratching to create the correct sizes and positioning.

Cranked, spliced and craned up into the tightest of spaces. We did them this way to save our clients from removing the whole roof.

This is an install we did a little while ago in St Albans. Our clients decided to have their beams exposed and this is the result... Stunning modern Kitchen with the industrial steels taking centre stage.

Job vacancy...............

We are looking for another load bearing wall removal team leader as we are expanding. The role would suit a bricklayer but not essential. General builders or groundworkers would be welcome and be given the correct training in order to grow in to the specialist role.

- Own van and hand tools required.

- Working in Herts and surrounding counties.
