Handmade Liberty print ties in beautiful Liberty cotton tana lawn. Do look at the website for all th
In a couple of weeks I’ll be at the wonderful Chalke History Festival for a week. Fingers crossed for the sun or at least some dry weather. I will have my colourful Liberty print ties and hankies in all sorts of new patterns but also these new neck ties and extra large squares that can be worn as a headscarf or neckerchief. Just adds a little something to a look. These are just a taste of the patterns coming. Really hope to see you there
It’s wedding season again and all sorts of other summery events when a tie is needed and what could be nicer, jollier or more colourful and individual than a beautiful Liberty print tie. The way to show your good taste and individuality. I have lots of different patterns and colourways on my website plus some that will be there shortly. I’ll also be at the wonderful Chalke valley history festival. One of the best.
There seems to be a lot about ties making a comeback in the news at the moment. I feel it’s a kickback from all our casual dressing since lockdown. We all love to dress up and look smart for a change. The suffragettes wore ties and obviously what goes around comes around now with ties and dresses. If you want to join this trend do look at my website for lots of gorgeous Liberty print ties and other goodies.
The perfect present or stocking filler. A gorgeous Liberty print hankie / pocket square. They are large but not bulky as the Tana Lawn is so fine yet robust. So much nicer than tissues and easy to post.
What a beautiful place to be for a fair. Choirs and organ music plus wonderful stalls, all very twinkly and Christmassy. Here till Saturday 4pm. There’s even a proper old carousel outside.
Not a post of fairs or Liberty. A post re kindness. I have just been to buy a folding table from Argos. Quite big and heavy. Kind assistant carried to door and opened door. While getting car keys out etc another kind man asked if he could help. When everything is doom and gloom on the news I just thought it isn’t all bad. Two kind people offering to help. On the other hand I may be in denial about how old I look and in need of help !!
Now we’re into November with Christmas just around the corner I hope you’ll be able to come to one of these fairs. I can’t wait to get shopping from all the small businesses. I’ll be at Country Living Christmas Fair next week 8- 11 Nov. Beautiful Ely Cathedral 15- 18 and Presents galore 24 - 26 Nov. If you’re unable to make any of them you can now buy on my website but hope to see you.
A wonderful Lino printing day at Hare Hill with friends. Last done at school but fun trying again fifty years later !! Mine is the swallow and friends did the owl, hedgehog and hare.
With the warm weather it’s hard to think about Christmas but I wanted to let you know the three fairs I’m going to be at in October and November. The very Christmassy Country Living Fair in Islington. Lots for your tree as well as yourself. A Fair in Beautiful Ely Cathedral and Presents Galore in Newmarket. Lots of small businesses selling things you won’t find on the high street as well as supporting charities. If you can’t make any of them do look at my website for hankies, glasses cases, shoe bags, and more. I can post things out but I hope to see you at one or other of the fairs.
Now the evenings are a bit chillier what could be cosier than a soft soft scarf. I hand knit these in extra fine merino which is gorgeous to wear. Nothing scratchy. Some are large triangle and some scalloped edged. Do dm me for more info if wanted.

Wedding season is now on as well as occasions when a tie needs to be worn. This was a very happy Christmas wedding in York with the groom and best men wearing Strawberry Thief in one colour and the ushers in another. A very good way of doing it and links everyone together plus having a happy memory of the day. If interested do be in touch or look at my website which you can now buy from.

Happy New Year to everyone. I am busy making large hankies as I completely sold out at Christmas and will be posting some new patterns. Today is this glorious bird pattern which is very hard to get hold of but I managed to track down. The softest Liberty Tana lawn cotton. Perfect for all the winter coughs, colds and sneezes that I was generously given by my grandchildren ! Christmas fairs are now in full swing and here are my next three fairs. All wonderful with great stalls that I’ve been so tempted by and bought from. Things you just don’t see elsewhere. Well after the wonderful summer it’s back to work and lots of fantastic fairs coming up. I hope that you can come to one or all of them ( all fairs are different) to find the perfect presents for Christmas which I’m afraid isn’t that far away, and since we’re all tightening our belts a bit, these fairs are a great place to source presents that you won’t find on the high street as well as support small businesses.
