Our last two commissions have been packed and shipped today and that’s us officially closed for commissions until later in the year as we start maternity leave at the end of this week.

Thank you to all our customers past and present for supporting our small family business, you have made our dreams come true!!! We are eternally grateful for all the love and support 🤍🤍🤍.

Now it’s time to down tools and enjoy our last few weeks as a family of three before our little fella arrives making us a foursome.

The second of our commissions completed this week has been redesigned in Wise Owls Gray Linen, a cool contemporary grey for this classic silhouette from Stag.

This Tallboy is being wrapped and packed ready for its final journey home north of the border.

This weeks commission certainly makes it feel like spring is in the air!!

This Stag Chest of Drawers has been given a total overhaul and is a far cry from its former mahogany state.

The best commissions are the ones that challenge us to try colours that we wouldn’t usual use and this one has certainly done just that and we LOVE the result!!!

Something a little different for Copper and Grey this week.

I’m just going to leave this one here for a little while but watch this space for the full reveal…..

How is it mid-week already???! I’m sure I just blinked and it’s gone from Sunday to Wednesday!!!

Anyway black has been once of our best selling colours this year for our commissions and this piece is the final edition to a bedroom set shared previously. Now on route to meet its brothers and sisters this Stag chest of drawers joins a twin 4 over 2 chest to make a set of bedsides, whilst complimenting a captains chest, dressing table (with stool and mirror) and a set of smaller bedsides already created and delivered pre-Christmas.

In our final weeks of trade before mat leave we’ve got more Stag creations to share, all very different in design and style so watch this space for sneak peaks and grand reveals and we’re hoping we may even get a little time to create some of our very own Copper and Grey designs before our new arrival lands!!!!

We’ve been quiet on the squares lately as a result of being head down balancing commissions, tax returns and trying to grow a baby with a toddler dangling off my knees 🤣🤣🤣.

This latest number is part of a bedroom set and is the ultimate storage unit for those with plenty of floor space. Refinished in black with simple gold k***s this Stag Captains chest oozes sophistication and class!!

Our last two orders have left the building so we are now ready for Christmas with the family (and some prep for our tax returns 🙈).

Here’s the last commission of the year, a single stag bedside painted in Farrow and Balls Slipper Satin.

I owe a shout out to who kindly passed over this commission as they’re currently on mat leave having recently celebrated the birth of their second son. This is one of the reasons we love being part of the furniture painters community as people work together to support one another 🙌👌🏻.

It seems only fitting that this weeks commission was a brother and sister set of Lebus Drawers as we start to plan the final few months of our commission diary before we finish up at the end of Feb to welcome our little fella, giving Aubree a little brother very early spring.

We’ve been a little bit quiet here at Copper and Grey over the last few weeks having enjoyed some much needed time off and juggling a full commission diary with a very poorly toddler.

We are now back on track and beavering away for our final two weeks before we break up for Christmas.

We’ve got a couple of commissions ready to leave HQ this week so they can be in their forever home for the festive period and it is seem a little bit ironic that they were both a light cream/almost white colour the week many areas had heavy snow and we forecast some more…..🌨⛄️❄️.

Anyway, he’s a little glimpse of one of our trademark designs with a full reveal coming tomorrow.

In the meantime I’m off to pack some more items whilst belting out some Micheal Buble Christmas tunes (totally out of tune I most add) 🤣🙈.

Lebus in all its glory. This vintage set of drawers has had a total overhaul.

Stripped back drawer fronts with a gentle white wax finish to compliment the now bare feet is the perfect pairing for the deep warm grey exterior and to finish the look we have restored the handles and finished in a rustic copper to create the ultimate contemporary rustic look.

The second reveal this week is the other pieces to last weeks bedroom set commission. Also featuring Anna Hayman’s design but this time the Giraffe Mono print, these leggy Stag Bedsides are the perfect compliment to the dressing table shared previously.

With elegant gold feet and a small touch of soft grey on the trim these twins are not only stylish but also practical with the spacious pull out drawer.

It’s fair to say this commission was right up our street and one of our absolute favourites to date!!!

This is the first of two reveals for this weeks bedroom set. Restyled in Anna Hayman’s luxury Siouxsie wallpaper (one of our favourite British textile designers) this Stag Dressing Table has been totally revamped to make a one of kind item perfect for the modern home.

Professionally painted in Wise Owls One Hour Enamel in Poseidon with their 1987 CSP used for the trim this unit will stand the test of time and has a very subtle sheen.

It’s always a real pleasure to be able to design and create a truly bespoke piece and it’s even more of a privilege when you are doing it for a friend (and perhaps also more nerve racking).

When Emily came to us in need of a storage solution for her tv boxes and cables this classic mid century design was the first thing that popped into our minds and thankfully by chance one came up in the local area fairly quickly.

In need of some real TLC but structural sound, this out of date unit was covered in tea stained newspaper decoupage with haggard peeling feet…..urgh I hear you say!!!

Several rounds of Cornish Mineral Paint bio strip later and this unit was ready for a new internal shelf and revamp using Wise Owls OHE in Jet Black with their Heävy Mëtal Metallic Paint for detail.

With a pop of electric blue on the inside this retro classic is now set for 2021 and beyond.

Painted in Wise Owls One Hour Enamel in Jet Black and updated with contemporary copper handles this cool classic silhouette has been revamped and redressed.

This pair of Stag Bedsides found their way home last week. Painted in Wise Owls One Hour Enamel in Foxtrot it was hard not to feel autumnal when painting them and they were 1 of 2 commissions in the same week in the same colour…..perhaps it was a case of being green with envy? 🤷🏼‍♀️
