We had a wonderful experience with Elle from BBC Radio Manchester on Friday. Our fabulous Dawn Patrol will be on Manc Made Me segment tomorrow afternoon. We can't wait to hear them chatting and playing a few tunes. They even had Elle sit in on drums for a few! Tune in and check them out tomorrow.

As a company serving our local community it is important that we keep up to date with changes in the heating industry, so we are able to offer the latest technologies.

We are very pleased to announce that having now completed and passed the Air Source Heating qualifications. We can now offer design, supply and installation of Air Source Heating Systems, Hybrid boilers and controls.

We can also access the government grants which are available to assist with funding these projects.

We will soon be able to offer air conditioning and cooling solutions too!!

First job of the day.
Faulty Hive wireless controller,found to be wired incorrectly by others. Receiver damaged.
Fitted new Hive receiver and paired to system and tested.

These Hive controllers are good if correctly wired up.

Had a lovely customer the other week who needed help to upgrade her bathroom and shower system.

We installed a wet room with a rain head shower and to power this we installed this pressurised, unvented hot water cylinder in the roof space which we are fully qualified to install.

This gives a back up supply of hot water should the boiler ever fail as per the customers request.

I am a fully qualified city and guild advanced craft plumbing and heating engineer who is also gas and water safe registered.

It looks like the government are going to put a green tax on gas boiler manufacturers in January 2024.
(And it’s not going to be a small amount)
If you think your boiler is in need of replacement either do it ASAP or at least buy your boiler this year.

Give it a little TLC and pampering, have it’s blood pressure checked, check it’s breathing, clean it’s lungs out, keep its sensors sensitive, make sure it still has that spark to keep you warm this winter.

This is what can happen if your boiler is not serviced correctly.

The baffle on the right is from the burner/heat exchanger in a Worcester Greenstar boiler.
The one on the left is what it should look like, and we replaced it today when we carried out a full strip down service.

Get your boilers serviced properly, this will not be done if your on a service contract.

September is here folks, fire up those sleeping boilers, make sure they are firing up on heating mode. Give me a call if you have any problems with your boilers or heating systems. Good time to get a service booked in.

I know I’ve advised this before but if your leaving the house today, leave your heating on low about 10-15 degrees will do.
This should prevent problems with freezing on your plumbing and heating systems

Did 3 heating jobs at this scheme today. It a very unusual site that we have serviced for a few years. You may recognise it from Sherlock Holmes, it’s used as a set and other TV stuff. You wouldn’t think you were in Droylsdon. It’s so peaceful as well. Dates back to 1785.

Beast from the east is coming!!
While we have freezing temperatures for a few days running, keep your heating on low rather than turning off overnight or whilst your at work. This may protect your systems from freezing and keep those small spaces that pipes are running in above freezing.

Happy to report CPHG passed our audit for Water Industry Approved Plumbers Scheme (WIAPS).

The audit is undertaken by United Utilities water inspector, on site work is inspected and technical knowledge and knowledge of water regulations tested.

We are now on the list of approved contractors for the WaterSafe scheme operated by all the water supply companies.

It maybe Sunday but when you get the call.
