ATTENTION PLEASE❗
I am starting another SPORT FOUNDATION and COMPLETE PROGRAM courses on 15th of May at 4.30pm on Zoom. These courses are the last ones before summer holidays break.
🍎So, if you are parent of a active child/teenager age 10-14y., in recreational or competetive sport and you would like them to implement and learn how to:
-Keep hydrated, eat right and use nutrition to become a better and healthier athlete
-Master a faster and full recovery, reduce the risk of injury and illness
-Develop, implement, and sustain health and performance habits, self – organisation, positive mental attitude and resilience in sport and life
-Keep fit, move more efficiently and train smarter at home by choosing appropriate simple 5-10 min. strength (abs and back), cardio, skill or recovery exercises to improve their posture and prevent or eliminate pains
-Overcome challenges which a young growing body can face
-Be a champion by inspiring, helping and leading by example
Also, very soon I am starting teen workshops for girls and teen workshops for boys. Both for age 15-18 years old. Please see description of the workshops on my website and also check calendar and let me know if you are interested.

🍓From our last Session 4, My fit kitchen and how to shop smarter: You learnt, that being prepared and having healthy ingredients and nutritious food in your kitchen is essential.

🥞 You will not only avoid unnecessary 'healthy food choices stress', but from these ingredients you can easily make even something traditionally considered unhealthy (like pancakes)as a super nutritious breakfast or great sport snack.

🍏Also we keep following BETTER THAN approach. Where you just do your best and make your choices based on your options and budget.

Last week we were covering hydration.

We know:
💧 Water is our number one choice and we also know, that soups, fruits and vegetables which are rich in water content are great ADDITIONAL choices to help keep hydrated.

🥇How important and essential is water for our wellbeing and good body function.

😨 Sign and symptoms of Dehydration

❓We answered questions about sport and energy drinks. Yes or No? Are they for you? Do you need them? And if, when and what kind? And we learnt about electrolytes.

☝And now we are practicing our good hydration Tips.


Well done everyone for keep making your sport jars and filling them up with energy, pre training snacks which are handy on the go. Also making better choices and actually creating your own after school, pre training snacks.

Next week is our food plate challenge week and we are going to try new ingredients, the once we don't like, but are willing to try again.THIS WEEK IT IS ABOUT: "Train our taste buds as we train our muscles!"

Well done team YoungAthlete-Diary!
Our first session went very well.
You learnt 3 pillars of your sport foundation and why they are important, why you need to master all 3 and why you can't skip non of them.
You setup your own challenges to achieve your specific goals in each category (Stay hydrated and eat right, Train hard and smart, Sleep well)and this week you start practice what you learnt. We talked about positive mental attitude and you have some tools now to use if need.
This weeks FOOD FOCUS is on after school/pre training snacks, and we start with what you can buy in the shop also avoiding after school junk shopping. Later, moving on what you can make at home.
REMEMBER our better than...approach.
I can't wait to see your sport snack jars/boxes and your sport movie choices.

FINALLY, after last very busy weeks with launching new coaching program for the young athletes,
and getting everything ready for the first course, we kicked of our first session today 19th of September.
