Are face to face client meetings and surveys (ideally over a coffee or in this case fruit and porridge) dying off?

I know covid has decimated face to face engagements, but how can we as brokers present a risk if we don't actually review/survey and understand it??

Although sometimes costly, I always feel that on site client meetings are worth it, it shows the client you are invested and it clears up any concerns about what you are presenting to Insurers!

In this climate of pressure and worry too, it can be great to engage on a personal level with other business owners and vent.

Is Sponsorship worth it???

As a new and small company, it is a question I often ponder. Given the tighter economic times and the difficulty in gauging the return on investment, it is a tough one.

However, despite this, it was great to be involved and sponsor a very worthwhile category of the Young Entrepeneur of The Year Award at the Omagh Chamber of Commerce and We Are TyroneAwards night last Friday.

My congratulations go out to David O Reilly and all the team at MDL Logistics on being nominated and winning!

On reflection and whether we secure anymore business or not as a result, I believe, YES sponsorship is worth it. It gets the brand noticed, but more importantly, it supports, promotes and hopefully motivates more people to do it and to support their local charities, sports clubs, businesses and in this case Entrepeneurs!!!

Our last Director we want you to get to know is Keith Gilliland. Keith has over 25 years insurance experience in both Underwriting and Commerical Brokering roles. He is a Chartered Insurance Broker and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Outside of work, Keith loves to travel with his wife Ruth whom he's been married to for 13 years. He's an avid sports fan and enjoys watching any sport, but his favourites are Football, Golf and Cricket. He is also a member of the GAWA (Green and White Army) and holds a season ticket for Northern Ireland and can't wait until he can go to a match again once restrictions lift.

Our next Director we want you to get to know is Martin O'Neill. Martin has over 20 years Commercial Insurance and Risk Management experience across the island of Ireland. He is a Dublin native now living in Tyrone, having met his wife on a blind date! Outside of work Martin enjoys spending time with his young family and is looking forward to testing his BBQ skills on friends and family over the summer, now that restrictions have lifted.

We want you to get to know us, so over the next three weeks we'll be introducing you to our three directors. First up is Artur Cufaj. Artur is the Commercial Development Director for AMG, he has over 15 years of successful business ownership and management experience across a range of sectors. He brings a unique and insightful knowledge from a client's perspective to the AMG team. Outside of work Artur's priority is his family life. He enjoys spending time with his wife Jonida and two daughters.
