🥰
On Tuesday we were invited to our hairdresser Shona’s livery at Coneyhatch. The ladies had an absolute ball, petting the horses feeding them horsey sweeties and even grooming Glen and pleating his tail. Shona then treated us to a cuppa and strawberries and cream. Steve the dog enjoyed our company too. Thank you to Shona and the girls at the stables and of course thank you to Orla, Glen, Buster, Finn, Athena, Vivi and Cinnamon for being so gentle and patient with us. What a fabulous afternoon out. 😀
Our craft group has worked hard over the past few months making things for the community award at the Stonehaven Summer Show. I am delighted to say that for the 4th time in a row they have won. 😄👏👏🎉Thank you once more to the organisers.
Sue decided she wanted to do Carolyn’s job for the afternoon! Number 5 Knock on the door 🚪 😆🤣
Keys found in the car park, with sherrine if they are yours ☺️
We have had a lovely morning with Barney and Saliza, lots of dancing and dancing demonstrations, lots of smiles and fun. ☺️💃🏻🕺
And the winning unit was Mearns (Team GB)
And the bonniest dog was Arlo 💕💕
A few more of the staff challenge, just because I think we have the best staff and I can't stop laughing. 🤣🤣
And the winners with a shuffle technique Team Mearns on behalf of Team GB. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥇🏆
staff challenge team Ardoe for Team Scotland 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆
Staff Challenge team Bervie for Team Falklands🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a fantastic morning, thank you to all who came and helped out in some way. Jodie, Mandy, Sharon, Deb and Helena xx Thank you to all the relatives who came and supported our residents. Ardoe competed as Team Scotland, Bervie as Team Falkland Islands and Mearns as Team GB. It ended in a 3 way tie 🤔😆 so had to be decided on by a staff challenge which was won by Team GB. Here are some of the few hundred photos that were taken. I will put the staff challenge up separately.
Unfortunately due to the forecast of showers from late morning onwards we can no longer hold our sports day outdoors. We will however still have fun indoors but unfortunately due to the limited space we can no longer accommodate visitors for lunch. Friends and relatives of our residents are still welcome to come and cheer us on and we will have refreshments and nibbles with you in our individual units. As you will appreciate due to space constraints we can no longer invite the wider community to join us but hopefully sometime in the future weather will allow us to do so.
It’s that time again to start nominating your stars! ⭐
The Care UK Stars annual award ceremony is our special way of recognising our colleagues hard work, dedication, and success.

This weekend we enjoyed some balloon games and a few games of bingo 🎈
Another fabulous visit from Wilson and Flicker Therapy Ponies Scotland. Thank you to Elaine and John for bringing them to visit us again, we very much appreciate your visits, never rushed never timed it just takes as long as it takes and the boys are just so patient and photogenic (ok John you too 😆) I took 270 odd pictures and it’s so difficult to just choose a few. ☺️
Carolyn bought a kit to make paper flowers, they were much bigger than we expected. 😂
Trishaw trip round Stonehaven.
There was no Burns Gym on Tuesday so we had Balloon Games instead.
A few trips out this past week. We have been to The Winter Gardens, Kirkton Garden Centre and Raemoir Garden Centre on the mini bus and Gillian and Nancy went out shopping.
What a busy day we have had today at Mowat enjoying the sunshine. Some of the residents went out on the Trishaws this morning whilst some of the others had morning tea in the garden.. This afternoon saw some residents doing some gardening before relaxing with a cuppa. ☀️🌸😎☕️
At the weekend some of the ladies enjoyed a spa afternoon 🧖♀️ 💅
Eric and Jackie all ready to kick off the Euros tonight! ⚽️ 🥅 🏴
Do you think stigma around still exists and can impact those people living with the condition?

This afternoon was an indoor games kind of a day. We played floor netball and balloon tennis.
Today we celebrated the 80th anniversary of DDay with music from Eddie Cairney. Eddie played us many classics from the 40's. No party would be complete without a cake and Betty told us about how difficult it was at the time especially when Clydebank was bombed and her Dad who was a miner along with his workmates weren't allowed to come up from the pits.
Another birthday today. Ann is 84 years young and enjoyed a tea party with her friends on the unit and her daughter Vicky
Betty and Bobbie enjoyed an afternoon out on The Caledonian Railway from Brechin to Dunn. They both had a fabulous time 😊
Another birthday at Mowat today.
Maureen was 87 today and enjoyed lots of visitors and cake.
