🇬🇧London Trip Details🇬🇧
I held a meeting today for all the children going on the London Residential next week. The information that we covered is below.
⭐️Reminder to bring a packed lunch for the first day. This needs to be in their day rucksack along with their water bottle and anything that they want on the coach (perhaps a snack and a game). Anything that is in their suitcase/hold-all will not be accessible until we arrive at our accommodation in London.
⭐️Currently our place we would like to depart from is the car park opposite Bodmin Jail (this should be open by then). We are still in conversation with the bus company about this so it may change but we will keep you informed as soon as we know. Children need to arrive in the car park with all of their belongings at 7.30am. We will be leaving at 8am.
⭐️Nat will be collecting all medicines on the day and Miss Donnithorne will be in charge of collecting all the wallets for safekeeping. Please find them as soon as you arrive at the departing location.
⭐️Please ensure your child has been to the toilet right before you leave your home. If they need to go to the toilet when approaching the car park please swing by Berrycoombe school where the toilets will be available to use.
⭐️The weather looks quite warm about 20 degrees with some rain. So I think suncream, sun hats, t-shirts, shorts, sweaters/hoodies and a waterproof coat.
⭐️The children may need either 2 refillable water bottles or one large one- depending on how much they normally drink.
⭐️Medicines can start coming into the office if they are not needed at home. This will give Nat a chance to get them together in plenty of time before we leave. If the medicines are needed at home then give them to Nat on Wednesday before we leave.
Thanks,
Mrs J-S
Year 5 had a great day on Tuesday for our “Ancient Egypt” launch day. We tasted foods such as figs, dates, pitta bread and hummus. We also made our own pyramids and designed an ancient Egyptian death mask and many other exciting things too. Photos to follow.
London Residential reminder: A reminder to try to get the packed lunch and meal choices form back to me tomorrow so I can finalise the meal choices over the Easter holidays. I have a small handful missing.
Thanks,
Mrs J-S
🇬🇧Thank you to everyone that attended our London Residential Meeting today. It was fantastic to see so many of you there. I hope all of your questions were answered earlier. Please do come and catch me if you have any more queries. There were a few questions asked so I thought I would just pop the answers on here in case anyone else had the same question.
📸 Children can bring a disposable or a not too valuable camera if they wish.
🍟All meals at the Giraffe (Wednesday Evening) are also served with fries.
Thanks,
Mrs J-S

✅Dinner Meal choices to be made
✅Lunch Meal choices to be made
✅Medicines and forms
If you can, please do come along as we have lots of important things to cover. Please bring along the child attending camp if you are able to.

Year 5 had a wonderful time at our World War 2 launch day today. The children were visited by Winston Churchill and his wife, both dressed in period costume to help bring the day to life. Amongst other things, the children tried their hand at code-breaking and made their own Messer mit and spitfire planes. The day finished with an epic Battle of Britain as the planes took to the skies (albeit inside the school hall)to see which side would prevail. The children were wonderfully behaved and we all had a fabulous day!
Hi everyone,
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is Hello Yellow on World Mental Health Day. We are helping the charity Young Minds by wearing something yellow. It can be a whole outfit, or one thing yellow. Even yellow face paint. If you would like to make a donation to the charity, you can do so via your child’s ParentPay account or bring in a cash donation. We look forward to seeing you all in yellow tomorrow.
Miss Donnithorne and Mrs Turner.
