Today is 9th September… and weather wise we are pretty much autumn! 🍁 We’ve been quiet on our media as work has picked up here as we come into our peak season. 👩🏽‍🌾🧑🏻‍🌾

We have been picking apples since the beginning of August and have nearly picked all the Bramley (cooking) on the farm. 🍏We have 120 acres and 30 of those are pure Bramley apples.

The apple is hand picked from our Orchard, into a barrel and kept in a cold store (at 3 degrees 🥶) on site. We can keep the apples in here until December! When the orders come in we wash, sort and pack the apples on site in a huge apple grader and sent to supermarkets up and down the UK!

Next time you bake with a Bramley apple from Morrison’s,just think, it probably started its life right here in our garden. 🌳🍏💚

You should eat an apple in the morning hours ⏰ because they are rich in dietary fiber called pectin.
Apple pectin is a soluble fibre that is great for digestion because it helps turn water into a thick gel-like substance in your intestines. As a thick, spread out gel, soluble fibre physically blocks fats that would otherwise be digested and absorbed. 💫
Apples and the soluble fibre it contains also lowers your cholesterol. It can prevent some dietary cholesterol from being broken down and digested and therefore over time (if you regularly eat apples) it will lower cholesterol levels. 🍏🤸🏽‍♂️🍎

This is one of our Bramley Apple orchards and the apples will be ready to picked in late August. We then send them to supermarkets, wholesalers and local farm shops. Bramley Apples are most known as ‘cooking apples’ and will be delicious in your fruit crumbles and apple pies 🥧😋😍.
