For those of you asking, I’m home the first week of August and will be doing my usually busy summer of lessons. Life is good out here in Indonesia but it’s not quite Vazon 😜. Can’t wait to get out in the waves with you all this summer 🙏🏼

THE DATE HAS CHANGED TO SATURDAY! We have the Cold Water Classic this Saturday, March 2nd! The competition is open to all GSC members. We will let you know the times and venue on Wednesday or Thursday here on Facebook. We will be running an Open, Women's, and U18 boys and girls heats.

The GSC is excited to announce our new junior development program in partnership with the CISF and GB Surfing.

GB Surfing is looking for ways to identify talented junior surfers and put in place a GB Surfing development program that includes the Channel Islands. As our part in this, we are launching ‘Grom Squads’ which will include 4 training sessions and a final junior competition.

We will be working with local surf coach Ben Relph and there will be a £20 sign-up fee to help cover costs. This will include 4 training sessions which we will run fortnightly through August and September. We will try and run these on Sundays but days may change depending on the surf forecast, so please be aware that this will be flexible to get the best chance of good surf conditions. Everyone who signs up will be included in a WhatsApp group and notified of training session times via this group. If the surf is flat we will reschedule the training session to a different day or run a surf skate session instead.

This is for juniors who want to develop their skills, and who are keen to push their surfing (this is not a substitute for Surf School for those who can’t surf). The ultimate aim is to find new surfers for the CISF team, GB team, and maybe the Olympics!
