I mentioned last week that I had an announcement to make and this is it...
I have made the sad decision to close up shop at Pilates Plus. My family will always be my priority and there just isn't space in my life at the moment to keep things going with the level of service I'd be happy to provide to you.
I want my clients to know this hasn't been an easy decision for me to make and that I will miss every single one of you. I really do hope to be back at some point in the future when there is sufficient space in my life (and in my head) to manage it.
Thank you so much to every single one of you that has ever been to one of my classes, or supported me in some other way. I really will miss you all and I really do hope you continue with your Pilates journey.

I have reached out to a fellow instructor who is going to take over my Tuesday evening time slot at the community centre and also my beach spot so there will be a classes at the exact same times so no excuses π You can book these direct with
The first beach class will be on the 21st May and it will be a special farewell from me and hello from Jo that we will run together. I would love as many of you to be there as possible so I get a chance to say goodbye and thank you in person, and so you get a chance to see how great is and hopefully decide to carry on with her as your instructor.

All mixed ability classes are suitable for pregnant and recently post-natal humans. You are welcome to bring babies/children with you to our Thursday AM class but please do check with me first to ensure there is space for everyone.

Mats and equipment provided so you don't need to worry about bringing anything with you!
This is also a child friendly class so if you do have a child that isn't in school they are welcome to come with you!

Whether your βchildβ is 4 or 40, you are considered post-Natal and it is never too late to seek improvement!
You do not need to put up with feeling less than your best.
It may be common amongst your friends but that does not mean you need to accept it!
Join our child friendly classes and stop having to choose between selfcare and childcare!
Perhaps you went back to your usual exercise too quickly? Maybe you never realised how important post-natal specific exercise was? Or you may have given birth recently?
If you need more focused care then these classes are perfect for you!
Iβve currently got two classes to choose from that are child friendly, which means babies/children are welcome to come along (you are, of course, also welcome to come alone if youβd prefer):
1. Post-natal specific classes at 9.30am every Tuesday morning at (these are aimed at new mums but anyone who feels they need/want to take things slowly are welcome);
2. Followed by mixed ability at 10.45am (these will also be post-natal/diastasis recti friendly classes).
Children are welcome to both.
If these times don't suit then pretty much any of my classes can be tailored to suit your needs.

This felt like a good post to follow on from yesterdayβ¦
Diastasis Recti (DR), the separation of the abdominals AND a weakened midline fascia, π« CANNOT π« be prevented during pregnancy!
DR is a natural adaptation of our bodies to make space for baby β it is both normal and expected (and pretty clever!) - plus uncontrollable things like genetics and location of the placenta factor in! BUT we can control how we train/move and even breathe during pregnancy to help lessen the severity of the DR.
The best way to prepare for postpartum recovery is to adjust pregnancy exercise first.
If someone promises you they can help prevent DR during pregnancy RUN!πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
