Two weeks ago I got the pleasure of hosting a Supper Club at at our Swim & Supperclub event ๐ฝ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Honestly and truly it was one of the most beautiful evenings ever! Not to mention the round of applause ๐คญ๐
It was a pleasure to feed the 90 dining guests plus all fabulous volunteers, who helped us in everyway possible, and the orchestra, who created the most perfect ambience for the evening. ๐ถ๐ผ
I have spoken about this before, but the current foody climate certainly isn't what it used to be, with cost of living on the rise; eating out, street food, etc becomes a luxury, which unfortunately makes it really tough for independent brands. ๐ณ When an event like this comes together it really does impact the business in many ways unimaginable, it creates momentum, gives courage, and motivates in an unpredictable time. โ๏ธ
Thank you so much to everyone who dipped, dined, drank, danced, can't think of another D word related to that evening ๐ but the love was felt ๐

From a young age I have always been immersed into nature, and I think that comes from living in the countryside and next to the coast ๐๐๏ธ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ
The different biodiversities meant I could forage all-sort of goodies ๐๐๐ Both my nanny's showed me the importance of being connected to nature and helped my inner wild child to grow. ๐
I learnt how to forage for beautiful shell fish and seaweed and how to create locally sourced dishes ๐ฆ and got excited for different seasonal produce like crab apples and blackberries. ๐
In my older age I love making Cherry blossom ๐ธ syrup in the spring and Elderflower champagne in the summer ๐พ and preserving lots of tasty ingredients to use throughout the year! ๐ฏ
Doing this online course alongside other 'hands-on' foraging courses has continued my expansion of love for the outside and what it has to offer. I want to be reunited with our ancestors way of life and follow Mother Gaia's rituals ๐
I recommend everyone to get out there and sniff, touch, nibble, all of the new flavours that are sitting on our doorstep. Even in urban areas there are plenty of leaves, berries, weeds, to be found ๐๐ฟ๐
As you can tell by my many chins ๐คฃ๐ง I had an absolutely fabulous time at Levenshulme Market] last Saturday ๐ช
Our Bonda Balls SOLD OUT in a few hours ๐ฅ๐ people really do love curried potato balls in batter! ๐ค๐
Our Dandelion Fritters were a hit ๐ต๏ธ๐ด come & try them next time...they are so so tasty! ๐
Unfortunately we were supposed to be at Levenshulme Market] this coming Saturday but we are venturing to the lakes for a well needed bit of TLC ๐๐

Since the beginning of lockdown I have been hosting COOKALONGS for friends, family, colleagues and different groups alike. ๐ฉโ๐ณ๐ณ๐ป
These are fun, interactive, informative zoom meeting seminars; where I step by step take a group through the process of cooking one or a few of my dishes whilst they themselves take on the challenge of putting together these recipes. ๐ช๐
On the journey they will learn facts related to the food and its origins along with its health benefits. We always have a great time in this creative process and it often is a great way for people to relax, learn and grow as a team together. ๐ฐ๐
