A lovely couple who I know very well have said they want to buy a piece of equipment for the sensory caravan………what do you suggest? Or what sensory items to buy to put in a sensory box! All ideas welcome please…….🙏

Therapony is accessible for even the most anxious of children and individuals. Our programmes are unique to the individual and are all done on a 1 to 1 basis offering total dedication, compassion, time and understanding.

Two Saturday sessions today both very relaxed and enjoyable, we did escape the rain. The horses are doing well, the chickens are chilled, the goats are settling really well and enjoying themselves! We rehoused a snail, found an ant nest and chilled in the caravan!!

Fun this morning with a young person from Life Skills Hub Limited. He said QUOTE I love animals and stroking a chicken is so therapeutic I love it here.
🐐🤩🥰…………. The goats and chickens are really enjoying life and bringing new experiences!! X

This evening I met with Mum Grandma and a lovely young girl at TP HQ. When a child is non verbal but you know they are happy, regulated and settled it’s beautiful to see and be part of. The caravan was an absolute hit too and Lulu rabbit. Words aren’t always needed yet they will always be encouraged! Xx

More stock has arrived at TP HQ from the fab Tyler's Crafty Creations Tyler was thrilled knowing he had created something special for people and he’s still taking bespoke orders and requests. You can order through me or go through his page run by his mum.

Three very different but just as uplifting sessions with 3 boys today. I think you can see the way the goats are settling and the chickens too. Oh and the trumpet 🎺 had an outing in the sensory caravan that was renamed the drawing cafe this afternoon. My drawn tea and crumpets were lovely and Emma’s duck lemon water and farmyard ice cream was amazing. Children learn through play it’s simple. That safe space to play and be listened to is so valuable!!

It’s not always about the animals during sessions. We are young person led hence why we have a bucket castle made of mud and then we painted a drum for the goat enclosure. This young person was great at regulating his inner calm today while being introduced to the goats 🐐

Two morning sessions of fun today. Our goats are building confidence, sunny boo and bumble all enjoyed a groom. Bumble had a walk and chicken cuddles too. Relaxed, fun, new experiences, conversation and the outdoors.

This morning we spoke about learning to trust, that gentle approach and understanding feelings. The goats all had a cuddle, the chickens are certainly enjoying their visits to the coop and as always Mr Bumble is never far away for a fuss too!!

Meet the latest members of the team. Harry, Kobbie and Darwin they are Pygmy goats and only 3 months old. I am sure with all the love, care and attention they will get they are going to be fab therapy goats 🐐

Such a simple photo but a powerful one, it brings me joy. Not only me but Bumble too, also the fabulous little boy in the photo and Mum who attends sessions. She said “he very rarely smiles but he enjoys coming to Therapony. I think I might have to book my own session. Just sitting on the bench at other end of the field gave my head a break and I slept soo much better last night”
We totally understand the space that’s needed for parents and carers too.

Had these fabulous photos sent to me from yesterday’s session. When a child smiles I just feel so happy 😀 The whole idea of Therapony has always been to ensure any individual feels valued, special, secure, safe, acknowledged and included. We have a safe space to express themselves.

During today’s session with a young person from Life Skills Hub Limited we introduced the chickens to watermelon 🍉 and meal worms 🪱 we also had lots of various conversations while enjoying a coffee sat in the field!!

Yesterday a young person enjoyed sitting on the bench near the chickens designing a sign then he got creative in the hay store. He also made me my own sensory stress toys which I loved!!

Before the rain 2 lovely sessions this morning both with young people from Life Skills Hub Limited…….lots of fun, conversations and cuddles for all.

What a lovely couple of hours this morning at TP HQ. Chicken cuddles and sausage sandwich’s on the stove. Listening to the birds, using Google to help us learn chicken facts and really enjoying the outdoors and company of others.

Lovely morning with Ben doing jobs and using the binoculars for bird spotting too. OH YES AND WE BOUGHT CHICKENS 🐓 TODAY from Melwood pets & Grooming………..

Morning from TP HQ. This week myself and the horses are having a week off from clients. I believe we all need that space from time to time. I’m still doing lots of jobs and we’re getting ready for our goats and chickens to join us too. As well as that fencing for foaling areas is going up ready to rest for our 2 pending arrivals……….happy half term Wednesday all I hope the sun ☀️ stays out to play!!

Can’t explain how happy and grateful I am with this amazing space at TP HQ. it’s been a great joint effort but just look at what we have created. Few more bits to add but just love it!! From ripping it out to painting to fixing to spray painting to cushion making, floor covering, lighting, sensory input, paths and of course a view to watch the animals. Thank you to those involved ❤️👍☀️

It’s all coming together at TP HQ……The path to sensory caravan and goat enclosure done. Grass seed down on the soil, can’t wait for it to come through. Goat shopping today for bits and bobs. Storage shed up, 🍅 toms and potatoes 🥔 planted, Sarah’s magical organic fertiliser made. Tomorrow will see more jobs completed 👍 horse husband extraordinaire thank you for everything and humouring us ❤️🐎🐐👌
