COLD ROOMS 🥶

This Customer got intouch to see if there was a cost effective solution for this freezing room to help retain the heat and save on energy bills with the cold winter months fast approaching 💵 🔥

We decided to remove the existing ceiling, which had no insulation at all and was previously sheeted with 9.5mm plasterboard and install 200mm wool as well as new 12.5mm plasterboard to help retain the heat in the room as 25-35 percent of the rooms heat is lost through the ceiling 🧊

both me and the customer were happy with the outcome of there new freshly insulated and plastered ceiling and the fast one day turnover 👍

Jobs recently carried out the past week.
Customer in Rutherglen had old walls lath and plaster walls where some of the loose plaster had came away. The problem was rectified by removing the loose plaster and installing reinforcing fiberglass mesh to make the walls bulletproof and stand the test of time 🔫

In Edinburgh these rooms were skimmed after the customer had internal wall insulation installed, using a laser level the sloped ceilings were made straight giving the customer nice clean crisp lines 📐

First of all installed a backing coat plaster to fill out some chases and removed sockets

Then primed the walls with SBR glue and installed render mesh to prevent any hairline cracks coming back through the fresh plastered walls in future

Then finished with 2 coats of finish plaster

Ceiling plastered yesterday ⭐️

Good turn around for these lovely customers after having a terrible experience with previous plasterers who left her ceilings in bad condition

Ceilings were over boarded( not by me) then plaster smooth and flat the way it should be 👍
