I have made the sad decision to remain closed for orders for the time being 😕

As I am sure you’re all aware, the price of everything has gone up and up and that is no different for the ingredients and supplies I use for all my orders. I have always been proud that my giant cookies are thick, absolutely full of chocolate and that I always use high quality ingredients and decorations for all my other treats but of course that’s comes with a price and it’s now at a point where I would be needing to increase my prices a lot which I just wouldn’t feel right doing! 😞

Thankyou so much to everyone that has supported me and my little business over the past (almost!) 4 years 🫶🏻 I have absolutely loved creating orders for you all and your special occasions! It’s been amazing to have so many lovely repeat customers, and lots that I have met for the first time at markets! 💕💕💕

I do plan to still offer some one off treats occasionally and attend a couple markets so keep a look out - will share any plans on my stories ❤️

Thanks so much to everyone that came down to today! Was lovely to see lots of you. I felt slightly out of practise as I haven’t been at a market since April but it was great to be back at it!

It was definitely warm today and the sun was shining directly on to my stall so that did mean for a quick makeshift side to my gazebo, but at least it wasn’t pouring down with rain (which I half expected at this time of year!!)

I did have a slightly strange encounter with someone saying that “I would have to be absolutely starving to pay those prices” - it’s funny how one comment can really knock your confidence in your pricing! Any other small businesses out there, make sure to know your worth! I think my prices reflect the time, effort and quality of my bakes 🥰

Thank you all so so so much for all the support for bakedbyluz in 2022, especially when I wasn’t taking any orders during my alevels for a few months!!

2022 has been very busy, with lots of very late nights and early mornings. I’m so happy to have started doing markets last year, something that I have wanted to do for AGES! Thankyou to everyone that has come along to my markets or bought spares, looking forward to lots more markets in 2023!!

Now I thought I’d show my face to any followers and customers that are new…and give a few fun facts about me 🤣

1.I turned 18 in July…I’m a cancer for anyone that’s in to star signs 😉
2. Along with baking, I’m quite a crafty person. Leave me with some glitter and a glue gun and I have a wail of a time!!
3. I decided not to go down the uni route and instead Im currently doing a sales apprenticeship and absolutely loving it!!
4. Currently binge watching one tree hill, anyone else a fan? But also can never stop rewatching modern family!
5. I have no specific music taste, if there’s a song on and I like it, I’ll add it! So whether that be Taylor swift, Gavin DeGraw or even Elvis Presley, I’ll have something playing in my AirPods whilst baking all your orders!
6. I’m a dog person, and happy to have the cutest dog in the world, a red cockapoo Alfie. Even though some of you may hear him barking when you knock at the door, I promise he’s actually a real softie, and can normally be found asleep on the sofa…or on the bed 😂
7. I’m setting myself a 2023 bucket list…23 things in 2023. There’s a real mix on there, travelling, musicals and even trying new foods. I shall try to keep you updated on my stories!!
