Different craft today.

Been busy weaving again but it still needs some ‘tweaking’ before it will be ready to come off the loom.

Adventure Stage 1 completed. Here’s a few highlights. Kessock - Alness.

I think it’s time for a bit of adventure - forgive me if responses are slow I just might be ‘off grid” for a wee while.

I think it’s time for another Seaglass and Seachina picture craft session which might be of real interest to some of you. During the session I will guide you to create a picture that is framed and ready to hang. Join me on Sunday 1st September at Moray Driftwood Designs, Lossiemouth from 12noon. Make a truly unique Christmas present, if you can bear to part with it or just treat yourself. Total cost £40 but booking essential. PM for more information or to reserve your place.

Monday 5th August, Greenbrae Steading, 4 week evening sessions 6.30 – 8.30pm
DECOUPAGE PLUS. We will explore various aspects of decoupage including choice of form, design choices, preparing/painting your form, choice of paper/fabric, appropriate glue/paste and varnishing or sealing the created item. As there will be time when your project needs to dry we will also have scope to explore another creative project over the course of the four weeks – the project will be discussed and agree during the initial craft session. Total cost will be £80 but you can book all four session for £70.

Weaving is really on trend now so why not come and see what it's all about at Loom Weaving sessions. The next workshops I am running are on Saturday 10th August and Saturday 24th August at 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽. In the first workshop you will choose the loom that you’ll use and be guided to set the warp, plan your colour schemes and start weaving. In the second session your woven piece will be prepared for display/hanging.

Needlefelt a Picture. In the session I will support you to make a unique needlefelted picture which will be framed and ready to hang or gift, if you can bear to part with it. These sessions are very popular so don’t miss out, book well in advance. Saturday 3rd August in 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 or Sunday 4th August in Moray Driftwood Designs.

I’ve also been busy preparing for Decoupage Plus sessions running in August - more details soon. Wee bird table also finished today.

I’ve finally got around to staging these two woven seascapes. There's a close up photo of those fluffy clouds, just cause I love them. If you want to see them 'in the flesh' pop into Moray Driftwood Designs - there's always plenty of unique, quirky and beautiful items to see.

I have had such a great day learning a new craft ... how to felt!

Weather’s really wintery but look at these delightful summery vases of flowers created today at a Needlefelt a Picture workshop.

I popped into Moray Driftwood Designs this morning where I often run craft workshops. It’s a proper treasure trove of beautiful items, many crafted by local artists and creatives. The new display shelves and lay out make it easy to spot those unique presents for friends and family (don’t forget Father’s Day.) Treat yourself to a wee visit - you’ll be amazed and inspired by the huge variety of items from tiny keepsakes to statement prints and paintings.

The weaving has taken many hours but I think it’s nearly ready to take off the loom.
