My wonderful friend Katie has a Kickstarter! She designed and drew all the wonderful bugs and plants in the potions section of my Eastmere Lands book that came out last year. She is a very talented writer and illustrator and has made this very cute and fun little book about mushrooms and fungi to use in your D&D campaigns! As expected, it's already smashed past the funding goal 🙌🙌

This exciting new collection of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art and experiments is the result of twelve months of prompts, picked at random and posted on the first day of every month between 2020 and 2021, and curated by Lauren K. Nixon. These pieces are based loosely on the classical elements of antiquity - supplemented by a few more.
Including work from: Rae Bailey, Hannah Burns, G. Burton, Jessica Grace Coleman, T. J. Francis, Liz Hearson, Angel Kershaw, A. Lizard, Abigail Manning, Wayne Naylor, Lauren K. Nixon, Sand Rennie and Laura Sinclair.

Wow...time really flies. I must apologise yet again for the lack of updates. Unfortunately, ill health still remains an issue and some days are real tough to get through. Updating social media is unfortunately quite low down on the list of priorities!

However, whenever I have had a spare minute with some energy, I have been writing away on a few interesting projects! It's still far too early to announce what they are exactly, but I can say one is a fantasy novel, one is another D&D supplement book and one is so top secret I can't even tell you even the vaguest details! Sufficied to say, I'm excited for all of these, and hopefully 2022 will be the year I get back on my feet.

Thanks to everyone who has been supporting me of late, and all those that have picked up a book of mine.

Wow, it's been a while! Unfortunately I can't say I have been away because I have been so busy - I've been pretty seriously sick since the start of the year. However, I have been able to tick along with bits and pieces of work here and there - so here's a quick update.

Eastmere Lands Kickstarter - is now complete and everyone should have received their books. Anyone who missed the kickstarter can now buy the book on my website (https://www.shaunmvale.co.uk/shop/)

In progress projects: I currently have two roleplay game supplement books on the go - one D&D related, one that is top secret for the moment! Really excited for both of these - the D&D one is something a bit new and unique. Additionally, I have my first novel on the go too - I am about 20% through draft 1, so a bit to go yet! It's a fantasy story, but what it's really about is one guy's struggle to come to terms with his past, present and future - and what the power he has could mean for his new life and the wider world.

Other stuff: my good friend, and editor of the Eastmere Lands book, currently has a kickstarter on the go for a special edition hardback of one of her books. Whew - It's been a pretty hectic start to the year, that's for sure! 😅 However, the first draft is now done of the Eastmere Lands book, and the proofing/tweaking is well underway! Editing starts in earnest next week and artwork is all pretty much now in situ in the book!

All I have left to do now before sending to print is a few little bits of artwork I want to draw myself, finish the detailing on all the maps and then the edits when they come back from the editor. All in all, everything is coming along very nicely indeed and deadlines still look like they will be met, which is fab.

Thanks to everyone who came along to the livestream last night! It was a lot of fun - I hope to be able to have an edited VOD uploaded somewhere soon, in case anyone missed it and wants to watch. We ended up talking about some pretty heavy subjects like player types, play styles and etiquette towards the end too, which was pretty awesome.

I'm also planning on doing another livestream on Tuesday evening - the format will be the same: there will be sneak peaks and hopefully lots of discussion about the book and D&D in general.

And there goes the last stretch goal! The book will now include more playable sub-races and a map insert. We still have 11 days to go though - and I have slotted in a couple of extra stretch goals to try and hit!

So far, on top of the original content, we have unlocked:
- 2 more spells.
- A full dungeon schematic with traps, lore, items & monsters.
- Bookmark ribbon.
- 2nd writing sytem - Ancient Draconic.
- 2nd new class - The Distorter.
- 3 more sub-races/
- Seperate A4 continent map insert.

Another stretch goal hit! 🥳🤯That means I will be including a second new class in the book - The Distorter! ⚡️Hurl nearby objects or even furniture at your enemies, flip gravity, change the weight, size, temperature or colour of things, stick things together, hone or dull weapons, bend reality so spells have bigger or smaller effects and even turn back time to before people got hurt. With this and more, reality really is yours to command. I'll hopefully have some updates and cool art to show you soon! 🎲🎲
