Reasonable rates; no job too small
This is a potting bench that I built, using all recycled materials
This high ceilinged porch had damaged plaster and paint after a leak. I recommended getting a plasterer to skim it for a perfect finish, but the customer asked me to do the best I could with filler... And while I'm definitely not a plasterer, I'm pretty good with filler and a sander. Very pleased with this job π
Also, please note the stained glass window, which my customer made herself
Here's a rooftop privacy screen I built, so my client can sit in her garden without being overlooked by the upstairs flat next door. Joan chose the willow screen, which fits in perfectly with her woodland garden π³πΏπ
Thanks also Joan for the lovely review π
Built and installed this pine cupboard, which hides unsightly meters just inside the front door. Simple to uninstall when the clients decorate and do the flooring. A very satisfying build π
I made and hung these net curtains. Yes, I can also sew π§΅π. An unusual job, and one I really enjoyed
Spring is on the way, so it was time to replant this wall garden at some flats in Leamington, improving the view of the garage. Below is a bin store that I built a couple of years ago
This TV shelf is the most complex shape I've cut - I like to think of it as an 8 sided triangle π. Really enjoyed this project, cutting, painting and fitting these shelves. Note the rounded off corners, so Rosco the dog doesn't hurt himself if (when!) he bumps into them!
Putting up mirrors and a curtain pole was an excellent job for a rainy day. All supervised by Rosco πΆ
Look at my lovely rack! π
Building this kayak rack was a great pre Christmas job. Working around the garage door opening and closing took a bit of figuring out, but I got there fairly painlessly. AND the kayaks fit nicely π
Before and after pics of a garden bench that I finished refurbishing today π
I designed and constructed this linen cupboard - a great use of some dead space on a landing π
Very pleased with this storage bench π. It's strong enough for a couple of people to sit on, provides shoe storage space and hides some messy pipework and a gas tap π
Jephson Gardens in Leamington is giving away bulbs and plants today and tomorrow π·π±π₯π»π
Beautiful tulips in one of my favourite gardens. I've been working on this one for nearly 2 years, and planted most of these back in 2020 π·π·π
Spring is on its way and lawn mowing season is starting π±ππ±
I built most of this cat tree as a flat pack at home, took it down to Cambridge and constructed it today. Good to see it cat-approved, and good to know that my cat tree services can extend beyond Leamington and Warwick π
Just made these 'invisible' trellises for a customer's new fence, using hooks and garden wire.
This is a frame I built for a bin store. It's for 9 bins for a small block of flats. The open top gives easy access to the bins, and the gates open to move the bins in and out. It's all going to be covered with bamboo screening.
Before and after photos of today's hedge trimming job π
I recently built this catio, that Sebastian, Nelson and Hamilton will access through a catflap in the wall. Their owners wanted these indoor cats to have some outdoor space, and also to keep their litter boxes outside instead of in the house.
The customer is going to add shelves, cat toys etc. Fingers crossed the cats are as happy with it as the customer!
This pergola was a fantastic project to work on. I worked very closely with the customer, Fiona, so she got exactly what she wanted π
On Wednesdays we wear pink π.
I really enjoyed this gate renovation project. The original gate was rotting and didn't close. So, I
* Removed the brace bars and replaced them with upcycled decking wood
* Filled the holes
* Adjusted the frame and gate to fit (with help from Steve of Skullywag Enterprises)
* Sanded and preserved the gate on the outside for a natural look, and painted it on the garden side
The gate can now be closed and secured for the first time since the happy customer moved in 3 years ago π
Weeded this gorgeous brick patio, all ready for the customer to sand and cement to keep future weeds down
Playing with my new hedge trimmer
Garden clearing: serious strimming π
Newly turfed garden. This involved:
Digging up the existing turf, and down to a depth of 15cm
Digging up 2 green bins' worth of roots
Moving and levelling a ton of topsoil
Laying 12 square metres of turf
Secured a washing line to a garden wall
A skirting board I installed in a garden office/studio
Painting bannisters is a fiddly job, but I enjoy the attention to detail, and I love the metallic effect.
This fireplace was a great opportunity to use my plastering skills. Lots of edges and corners to work around.
