The industry has been collaborating with lenders and regulatory bodies, such as the Property Care Association (PCA), to develop a comprehensive report that lenders can use to assess a property's eligibility for lending.
This 15-step report has been thoroughly reviewed and approved by both the governing bodies and lenders for suitability of the products installation.
Going forward, all new customers should be provided this report to demonstrate that the insulation has been installed correctly, following the prescribed guidelines.
The Nationwide Building Society is among the lenders that recognize and accept this report.
Consequently, the prevalence of uncertified contractors operating in the market is expected to decline.
