Halifax & Skipton have been updating their criteria to help all you first time buyers 🏡 👀

🏛Halifax - they are now offering to lend up to 5.5x times your income 😲 If you are a First Time Buyer, this is only for employed applicants and have an income of £50,000 or over (this can be over both applicants). Sadly, if you're Self-employed, you will not qualify for the enhanced affordability 😔

🏛Skipton - Their track record mortgage that's been around for a while, but now it has been re-vamped slightly 😁! The maximum term has increased to 40 years from 35 years. They will also look at your mortgage payments being 120% higher than what rent you were paying, which is a big improvement for renters wanting to get onto the housing ladder 🏡!

🥳What a way to brighten up a rather grey Monday! Not the most straight forward case in the world, due to recent changes in clients self employed income, after discussing the case with the lender they took a common sense approach! Now my clients now have their offer secured for their forever home! 🏡

🔑 Being self employed can make it seem like a mortgage won't be possible or you won't be able to afford the amount you need. That simply isn't the case most of the time. Having access to multiple lenders ( some of whom even use common sense to look at applications 😱) gives me the best chance to secure your mortgage! 🏡
