This summer, we bid a fond farewell to two of our esteemed colleagues, John Kirkpatrick and Ken Parsons, who have retired after a combined 88 years of service. Their incredible dedication and contributions reflect the supportive and positive environment we strive to create at AG.

At AG, we believe in the power of giving back and actively supporting the local areas where we operate. Recently, we have made several contributions to benefit our community:

👨‍👩‍👦 We donated flagstones to Ellie's Retreat a Fermanagh-based charity who provide respite accommodation for bereaved families. This helped to create an accessible outdoor area for families in need of solace.

🍎 We supplied paving to St Oliver Plunkett's Primary School and Nursery Unit in Toome, helping to develop their ‘Green Area’ and offering pupils a peaceful outdoor space to reflect and relax in.

🥕And nearby, we also contributed to the improvement of the polytunnel floor at Duneane Community Garden by donating flagstones, enhancing this community space where volunteers grow plants and vegetables.

As we continue to innovate and grow, we remain committed to building a better, faster, and safer future. Our collaborative approach and ongoing efforts ensure a positive societal impact, staying true to our core values.

AG Launches Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)! 🚀

We're thrilled to announce the release of EPDs for over 370 products, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. These third party verified declarations provide detailed insights into the environmental impact of our products. This marks a significant milestone in our journey to help reduce carbon emissions and support greener construction practices.

Schools out for summer… well it is at least for our volunteers who took part in the Business in the Community Time to Read initiative with Business in the Community Northern Ireland this year! 📚

We had three employees who dedicated an hour each week to help local primary school children in Enniskillen Integrated Primary School, Moat Primary School and St Peter's Primary Collegeland to improve their literacy skills and encourage their love of reading 📖

AG were delighted to be able to donate £200 to each of their partner schools to enable them to purchase new reading materials for the children next year.

100ft Derry Tower Abseil: 9 of our brave team members took on the challenge, and raised over £2,000 for Air Ambulance NI 🏅

Summer Wolf Run 10k: 8 team members tackled the challenging and beautiful course at Stanford Hall estate, Leicestershire, supporting Acorns Childrens Hospice with true grit and teamwork 🏃‍♂️

AG Exceeds Carbon Reduction Goals Amidst Rapid Expansion 🚀

We're excited to announce our latest analysis shows a 47.8% reduction in carbon emissions since 2019, even with our extended operational hours and the construction of a new £3 million factory in 2023 to meet growing demand.

We've recently invested over £5.4 million in modernising our operations, upgrading our factory, equipment, and technology. These improvements not only enhance our efficiency and productivity but also significantly lower our fuel consumption 🌎

Supporting Air Ambulance Northern Ireland 🚁

Last week we took part in a bucket collection with Cemcor as well as JC Stewart Grocers and raised an amazing £1083.82!

A huge thanks to JC Stewart Grocers for letting us use their store for the collection and to everyone who donated on the day. Every penny helps Air Ambulance NI get closer to their £2.5 million per year to stay operational and keep saving lives.

It was great to have Collette Kelly from Women in Business NI join us in our Fivemiletown and Toome offices for the announcement of the latest addition to our employee benefits package, free Women in Business Membership 🚀

Aimed at supporting female progression within the construction sector, we are excited to see the opportunities this membership will create for our employees.
