With the Christmas break coming to an end and a new school term starting, parent and carers with neurodiverse children can face unique challenges. With a break from school routine and the excitement surrounding Christmas, the thought of returning to school can cause children anxiety and unrest. Thoughtful preparation can help ease this transition.

🌟Creating a visual schedule using words, pictures and symbols can help outline a daily routine
🌟Schedule a fun or relaxing afterschool activity so that school is associated with a positive experience
🌟Open communication/flexibility – encourage your child to express their feelings and be open to adjusting routines/strategies depending on your child's needs

Coming to visit our clinic in Cambridge, here's what to expect!

We know that the thought of visiting somewhere new can make some people feel nervous and anxious, especially when having an Autism or ADHD Assessment.

This is incredibly heart-warming to see, West Ham goalkeeper, Alphonse Ar**la, wearing noise cancelling headphones in support of his mascot, a fan with autism.

He wore these during the national anthem so that his mascot didn't feel alone and later took to Instagram sharing a picture of the photo saying "football is for everyone."
