If you know someone who is grieving this holiday season, you may be wondering how to support them.
One of the best things you can do is to listen to them and let them know you are there for them.
You can also offer practical help, such as running errands, cooking a meal, or helping them with the probate process.
If they need professional assistance with probate, we can help.
We offer the most up-to-date DIY at home probate kit on the market, as well as a handsfree Supported Probate Service, where we will handle the whole probate application for them.
Our DIY Probate Kit can be instantly downloaded and printed off - it includes a 78 page guide on everything an Executor needs to know to get probate applied for in a step by step guide, as well as all the relevant (most up to date) probate and inheritance tax forms all in one place.
Or, we can take over the whole probate process (Supported Probate service) where we do all the work and leave the bereaved family to get on with grieving.

CHRISTMAS CARD TIPS - When Someone Has Lost Someone
For many people this time of year can be a difficult one if they have lost someone, particularly recently. So what should you say to wish them festive greetings and remember their missing loved one?
* Make sure to address the card to the person or mention them in the message. This shows that you care about them and that they are not alone.
*You can acknowledge that this year has been hard for them, and that this Christmas may be different from the ones before. But you can also remind them that their loved one is still in your thoughts and memories.
* Some people may not feel sad, maybe because they had a complicated or distant relationship with the person who died. So instead of saying 'difficult', you can say 'different' to avoid making assumptions about their feelings.
* Let them know that you are available for them if they need someone to talk to or support them. Be specific about what you can offer, and follow up on your promise.
*Don't write a generic 'Happy/Merry Christmas' message and ignore their grief or the person they lost.
* You don't have to write a lot, a few lines are enough.
* It can help to write a draft on a separate piece of paper before writing the final card.
* Even if you don't usually send cards, consider sending one or calling the person who is grieving this year. It can be a very comforting gesture for them, especially if they are feeling lonely or isolated.
