Next on our series of skates are inline skates! As the name implies, inlines are skates where the wheels are placed in one single line along the boot (they are often also referred to as roller blades). Although not as popular as quad roller skates, inlines are nonetheless a great style of roller skates for beginner and avid skaters alike. What is lost in balance compared to quads is made up with better maneuverability and speed, which makes them the ideal pair of skates for speed skaters and street hockey players. Bearings are an essential part of any skating setup, whether it be roller skates, inlines, or skateboards. Bearings are the small metallic ring that goes within the wheels which allow them to spin. Bearings are ranked according to the ABEC scale, ranging from 1-11 odd numbers. The higher the bearings are on the scale, the faster they will spin.

Next on our series of roller skates are Ventro Turbo Pros. After Bauers, Ventros are our next most popular brand of roller skates. Known for their very thick inner padding and frame that extends up the ankle, Turbos are known for their comfort and are a good economical option for skates. Ventro also manufactures their own brand of wheels, which are ideal wheels for indoor skating. There is only one model of Turbos, but they can be customised with AirWave and Ventro Turbo Pro wheels.

First in our series of roller skates are Bauers. You most likely heard of Bauer before. Known for their lightweight feel and comfortable padding, Bauer is a popular choice for street skaters. However, Bauer doesn't actually manufacture quad roller skates. Wanting to use Bauer boots as on the street, skaters found a way to convert Bauer ice hockey skates into roller skates.

Here at JT Skate, we offer converted Bauer ice hockey skates with our selection of Bauer XLS and higher-end XLP models which can be customised with either AirWave or Ventro Turbo Pro wheels. If you're looking for a good pair of street skates that will last, we can't recommend Bauers enough.
