I am a health and wellbeing coach and love to help a variety of people achieve their goals and ambitions. I offer bespoke fitness and coaching and use yoga, massage and meditation as holistic tools for performance and recovery. So if you want to start running, have a cycling goal in mind, want to improve your triathlon or get physically strong get in touch. I also offer Yoga, Thai yoga Massage and Meditation services both to individuals and corporate clients.
Resting Heart rate is a great indicator of health and fitness and generally the lower the better. When it is elevated it can be a sign of many types of physical and mental stress, over training or even illness. Whereas HRV (Heart Variability) can be a little more difficult to assess and make correlations. I always recommend people track this simple metric and make adjustments to training accordingly.
Take time to relax…even if it’s for a few precious moments. Leave your phone, turn off the TV and just breath 🙌
Sleep is a superpower and critical for mental and physical wellbeing. It can be affected by many things including stress, caffeine, screens, light exposure, alcohol, exercise, heat and cold exposure, nutrition and much more. I don’t get this score often, and wearables are not overly accurate but when I focus on the above factors my sleep 100% improves and I feel great. You don’t need expensive gyms or fancy equipment to get the benefits or exercise. Just get outdoors in the fresh air and move your body. It could be walking, hiking, jogging, climbing, yoga, etc etc. Just do something you enjoy rather than grinding. And make sure you eat, drink and sleep well. Rock solid basics and consistency beat the latest fads and get results. Smile and keep it simple 🙏

Now the dust has settled on my first trail race just wanted to share some personal learning I’ve had with the training, preparation and during the race. At the age of 50 this was the first time I’ve dealt with any setback during training with acceptance, enjoyed the process throughout and allowed myself to be in the moment during the race. I met some amazing people, smiled a lot, suffered a bit but savoured and can remember every step of the race. I only wish I had allowed myself to do this for the last 30 years - but you live and learn 😎
