THE LINE-UP / ❤️‍🔥 GIMME MORE ❤️‍🔥 / PART 3

Ch’Lu

Of Romanian/British parentage, Ch'Lu, (formerly Camilla Mathias), trained as a classical guitarist, singer and actress and has been picking up languages since she learned to speak. She is a polyglot polymath, driven to expand consciousness through creativity and performance. Ch'Lu last year was streamed in several hundred different cities worldwide and to date she has performed in twenty-two countries. Her ethereal harmonies, conscious lyrics and guitar arpeggiation are the foundation to her signature Cosmic Chanson meets Fairy Folktronica sound which she has composed and performed so far in thirteen languages.

Jack CG

Jack is a demiboy from South London. He can often be found rollerblading in a straight line, listening to music that sounds like a GameBoy throwing up and sometimes even walking up escalators two steps at a time. By day, they work towards creating a more sustainable fashion industry, and by night they can be found playing Dungeons and Dragons (which doubles up as both a fab hobby AND free therapy). Jack's writing comes from a place of exploring the parts of ourselves we often hide or deny, facing up to 'shame' and other nonsense we've been made to feel.

Niam Moore

Niam has written since he was young; an avid writer, a reluctant reader was what his reports said as a child. He used to write plays for his friends and acted them out in class. A fan of words and fascinated by language, the natural progression saw him on an English Language course where he saw there was a less prescriptive side of our language and learnt enough rules to be able to successfully (most of the time) break them. He predominately writes scripts but has learnt to embrace the grind and love the poetry journey rather than simply the end product.

THE LINE-UP / ❤️‍🔥 GIMME MORE ❤️‍🔥 / PART 2

Anja Summermatter

Anja is an actor and writer originally from Switzerland. She loves to start her day by writing morning pages and end her day with some poetry. You'll always find a notebook and a couple of pens in her bag and probably also a chocolate bar. This year, she finally performed her spoken word pieces in front of live audiences and now she doesn’t want to stop.

Isabel Lawther

Isabel’s monologue ‘Good Girl’ is a comedic (and slightly s*xy) exploration of every former gifted kid with burnout’s strongest desire – to relieve the glory days of being an academic overachiever sat in your favourite teacher’s classroom at lunchtime.

Milli-Rose Rubin

Milli-Rose has always used writing as a form of therapy. Appreciating the simplicity of a paper and pen, she explores topics around mental health, the housing crisis and taboo subjects.

Jason Nwachukwu

Jason is a storyteller through film and theatre. He wrote his piece while completing his Creative Writing MA.

Come and watch these talented folks this Thursday - tickets in our bio! ❤️‍🔥

THE LINE UP / ❤️‍🔥 GIMME MORE ❤️‍🔥 / PART 1

Georgie Wedge

Georgie is a writer/performer from London completing a Masters in Writing for Performance. Her first short play 'No String(s)' was performed at the Corpus Playroom, University of Cambridge earlier this year. She’s recently discovered spoken word and has performed at open mic nights across London. Her current work tries to draw out the comedy in modern relationships and some of her more memorable dating experiences. (You can check out her previous piece )

Claudia Fielding

Claudia is a freelance playwright and performer originally from Brighton but now based in NW London. She is a current third year student at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on their BA Writing for Performance course. They are a keen writer of comedy, from monologues and sketches to full-length plays. Claudia’s debut play ‘Tea Leaves’ had its professional debut in March 2022 at The Courtyard Theatre in Hackney. She is also doing a short stint with London based companies Humourisk and The Theatre of Debate as their writer in residence.

Ella Lamprell

Ella is a 26 year old spoken word artist and dyslexic writer who has mostly grown up in Cheshire, and now lives in London. She was recently a finalist in the Hammer and Tongue Hackney 2022 poetry slam. Her poem ‘Bitches Need Pleasin'’ is all about the expression of female desire for s*x to be more about mutuality. It is a playful critic on how heteros*xual s*x can often reside around the act of male ej*******on and the needs of men. Taking inspiration from Lily Allen's song 'It's Not Fair', the poem uses irony to address misogynistic s*xual troupes, by highlighting women's capacity for s*xual desire in an upfront and tongue and cheek manner.

Grab a ticket to watch these great performers (& more!) this Thursday! Link in our bio ❤️‍🔥
