Yesterday evening, our NFU members including Glen, our Agricultural Agent, and Sue, Head of Accounts, headed to Shotley Vineyard for a tour of the Vineyard, as well as a talk from Charlotte Davitt Mills. It was a highly enjoyable evening and everybody leaned a lot. Who doesn't love a vineyard, especially one that we insure! 🍷 ☀️ 🍇

Who else is going to the Suffolk Show (Official)? Our Agricultural agent, Glen, will be on trade stand number 700 in the white zone. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible to answer any of your questions, or just a drink and a chat! 🐮 ☀️

This weekend we will be at the Hadleigh Show! We love going to these local events that are so well organised and celebrating the local community. We look forward to seeing any customers, or even potential clients, on the stand. 🧑🏻‍🌾 🌾 🐑

We had a lovely BBQ here at the Agency in the sunshine the other today to bid farewell to Chloe who is leaving us after 10 years with NFU Mutual, and Larissa who is starting her maternity leave. They will be missed and we look forward to welcoming Larissa back! ☀️

Our chosen charity for last year and the recipient of the NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund was Suffolk Community Foundation. Here is Larissa Arthur from our Customer Sales team handing over a cheque of £7479 for the foundation, combining the Agency Giving Fund with our fundraising efforts in the office. Dog attacks on farm animals cost the UK an estimated £2.4m in 2023.

Based on NFU Mutual’s latest research, the cost of dog attacks was up nearly 30% in 2023.

Many dog owners are unaware that even if a dog doesn’t make contact, the stress of the chase is enough to cause a sheep to miscarry or die.

On Monday, some of us dressed as our Agents, Ben and Glen as a belated April Fool's joke.

Those who dressed up will be donating to our charity and recipient of the Agency Giving Fund, Cancer Support Suffolk.

Ben and Glen (who usually wear a gilet), were surprised, but found the situation very amusing!

How sweet are these lovely lambs? We will all be enjoying the warmer weather over the weekend! ☀️

NFU Mutual Ipswich is proud to have recently nominated Cancer Support Suffolk to receive a donation from NFU Mutual’s 2024 Agency Giving Fund. The donation will support the charity to educate the community about the signs and symptoms of cancer prior to its arrival, support cancer patients through their treatment and provide a safe space in the latter part of treatment and beyond.
