Do you have a fabric that you find challenging, one that either disintegrates on touch, or one that has its own mind and stretches with no encouragement?

I was recently asked to make a pair of curtains using Burlap, OMG did I find my fabric enemy no.1. Since completing them, fully lined, I offered to make a matching stool pad. I know what was I thinking - maybe how much I love the person I was doing the make for 😉😁

Not to be beaten by Burlap, my task is nearly finished and I hope the new owner will like the end result!

You may notice I've been very quiet on here for quite a while, however, I have not been idle. Posting isn't as exciting as making 😉 I've been busy making for friends and family and will show a few here.

Over the past year I’ve made quite a few cushions of different styles and most have been fairly straightforward.
This lovely stag which should have been quite easy has been my toughest challenge yet. Everything that could go wrong - did! We live and learn 😁

A few months ago I found a pattern for child and adult pinafore aprons. I adapted the pattern and have made these cute little toddlers aprons. They remind me of the wheat sheaf apron.
