This months special recognition was slightly different. We wanted to say a huge thank you to Sharon.🏆

Sharon’s mum Gwen is a resident here at The Richmond.
Sharon visits daily and spends the full day with us.
She volunteers here with us and she is a part of our family and team- and helps us each day.

So we wanted to express our gratitude to an amazing selfless woman who always goes above and beyond

Yesterday it was Ena’s birthday 🥳

She had a great day. The cake was incredible 🎂

A lovely autumnal day with a trip over to Markham Grange 🍁🍂🌲

We are very lucky to have fruit trees in our garden here at The Richmond 🍏🍐

We make the most of it -so the residents can enjoy fruit crumble for dessert 👍🏽

This is about remembering those who we have lost but also remembering and cherishing special moments with loved ones as well as being thankful for incredible friendships 🩵

Our July employee of the month is our wonderful Katie.
Katie has a great work ethic and is one of our domestic assistants.
There are many roles required in a residential setting to make sure things run smoothly like clockwork.

Different teams of people with different roles all working and collaborating together 💪🏽

Katie is a part of a great team of staff and she deserves the recognition for her continuous hard work

We played a few games in the lounge today to get our brains working and to keep ourselves moving.
Pass the parcel with chocolate prizes 🍫

We play a very simple ‘Alphabet’ game- in which we all name something beginning with the corresponding letter of the alphabet.
Our themes today were animals, fruits and places 🌍🍌🇬🇧

The funniest moment was when it was Peters turn………
Name an animal beginning with the letter H

Peter said - Helephant, then sat chuckling to himself 😀
It’s great mental stimulus for all of us 🧠
Most importantly we all enjoyed it and laughed until our bellies hurt 👍🏽

Our lovely Sue was 73 years old yesterday.
Happy birthday 🥳

Another quick trip over to The Newton for Derek & Gwen 😀

A trip to the local pub today -was just what we needed. We toasted to friendship 💙🥂

We must say also -that the topic of conversation has been the steak and potato pie that our lovely Jane made.👌🏽
Residents, staff and families all tucked in to it and said it’s the best pie that they’d ever tasted 🥧

We wish we had taken photos of it , but it wasn’t on our plates for long enough. 👍🏽
