In 2012, I received mentorship from designer Adebayo Jones,

I took my first steps into the world of fashion, but along the way, my dreams of becoming a designer took a detour.

The lockdown became a turning point. It showed me that my skills could create magic.

And so, Mum Handstitch was born.

Mum Handstitch is a clothing brand of custom elegance for girls aged 2-14, inspired by my Nigerian heritage.

With Nigerian blood coursing through my veins,

I embarked on the journey of founding Mum Hand Stitch, a clothing line that holds a piece of my heritage.

Alongside me, are my two adorable daughters who sparked the birth of this incredible venture.

Every stitch, every design is woven with a mother's love and a dream brought to life.

Being a mother to two girls who adore dressing up,

I faced challenges in discovering attire that suited their figure.

The fabrics appeared rather plain and lacked the captivating charm I was after - and the ones that did catch my attention came with quite a hefty price tag!

I initiated the search for fabrics in West Africa and commenced crafting tailored dresses and flared skirts for my daughters within my own home.

In essence, my girls played a significant role in inspiring me to persist and initiate this enterprise catering to daughters aged 2-16.
