It’s been a while since we’ve shown our faces on the feed and there’s some lovely new followers here so we wanted to re-introduce ourselves properly!

First thing’s first - we’ve been besties for literally as long as we can remember (almost 3 decades… wow!) 💕

Having been through most of life’s ups, downs, bumps, twists, turns and surprises together, we thought we’d put our friendship to the ULTIMATE test by starting a business together… Best. Decision. Ever 😜

Myrror is our brainchild (and sometimes feels like our actual child), and the fact we’ve created this business to bring evidence-based empowerment right to your door, or fingertips shall we say 🤳🏼, is truly incredible and makes us feel so warm and fuzzy inside.

We can’t thank everyone who has supported us enough! It’s because of YOU that Myrror App has had over 500 downloads eeeeek *screams excitedly and pops a bottle of wine* 🥂

Myrror is a female-founded company, created by two best friends (hello, Stacy and Jennifer here 👋). Today is - an international day of awareness in the hope that one day there will be a healthier, brighter world without cancer. This is a cause very close to our heart.❤️

We wanted to dedicate this post to highlighting the importance of detecting cancer early. The NHS have said that 55,000 additional lives can be saved every year by diagnosing cancer early, which is absolutely incredible!

We would love to help add to those figures by encouraging you to take regular photos of any skin or bodily concerns you may have so you know if/ when you may need to reach out to your medical professional for further observation.

We've been a bit quiet on here recently, we've both had a lot going on in our non-Myrror lives. We're going to give ourselves a proper break over the festive period to spend some much needed time with our families, so you won't see much of us on here for the next couple of weeks, but we'll be back in the New Year raring to go! Thank you so much for all your support this year, we really do appreciate every single one of you. We hope you all have a lovely Christmas, whatever you are doing 😊

I've been tracking my lash lifts on Myrror, and went for another one last week. It was 7 weeks since my last one so I was due one, but actually looking at my photos on Myrror's split screen, I could definitely have waited longer. The photos on the left show from before the previous lash lift to just before the most recent one. My lashes hadn't fully dropped back to their natural shape, the photos on the right show just before this lash lift and a few days after it. There is still an obvious difference but not as much as I noticed last time. So this has shown me that I can leave longer in between lash lifts next time, which will save me some money if I carry on doing them regularly. That's what I love about Myrror, I wouldn't have noticed these small details before but now I can see it clearly on my very own split screen. I'm still using my lash force every day as well to keep my lashes long 🙂

Are you organised for Christmas?? I'm not at all! How’s everyone doing? I have been absent from Insta and Myrror for most of the month and Jennifer has been looking after everything!! I’ve had a rough couple of months after a dear friend passed away. It has made me massively reflect on what is important, and to be honest I just needed a bit of a break after what has been another tough year. Taking time to myself has helped massively. Tonight I am having my dinner out, by myself, and then treating myself to a Christmas hair makeover.
I’m looking forward to 2022 and growing Myrror.

Add in trying to get organised for Christmas as well and this is definitely me! How is it the middle of December already?!

For those of you tracking anything to do with hair (or those other hard to reach places!) You may have found the benefit of using your selfie stick. Swipe through to see how to take the best consistent images.

Make sure your smartphone camera is on a high resolution setting and is properly focused on your hair and scalp.

1) Sitting in the chair with your arms by your side, straighten one arm out directly in front of you at shoulder height then take a photo of your face, showing the front of your hairline.

2) Keeping your arm where it is, put your chin on your chest and take another photo. This will show more of the front of your hairline and less of your face.

3)Now, with the camera at arm’s length, take a photo of the top of your head looking straight down onto your scalp.

4) Next take a photo of the back of your head from as far away as you can using the selfie stick. This ‘bird’s eye’ view is where the stick really comes into its own.

5 & 6) Finally, take a photo of the left of your head, followed by the right – it may be easier to move the camera rather than your head but experiment until you find which will give you the most realistic photos with natural-looking lighting.
