Who’d have thought it…I am Sharon and I am now the proud new owner of sussexeggspress.co.uk. My husband Simond and I are very much looking forward to the future of the business. As most of you know this is is a small local produce business ranging from eggs, seasonal veg, cheese, teas, coffee, hampers and more! We have a van and 3 delivery staff plus 2 young girls who pack all the eggs ready for delivery.
The eggs are from the same farm I have always bought from so that part stays the same!!
Most of our produce is sourced within a 25 mile radius of our little unit in Laughton and we deliver to our local area which will also now include Crowborough, Heathfield and surrounding areas.
It’s been a steep learning curve as over the last month as, apart from selling eggs to friends and family since Lockdown One, this is all a very new type of work for me!!! I’d like to personally thank all of our customers for your patience through this initial period.
Thank you also to Georgina, who without her guidance, patience and support during the handover period, could have been a very different story!
Look forward to meeting you lovely people when we’re out and about in the Cluck Truck!!

Our Story
In normal life, I’m an event producer, but during the coronavirus pandemic, I haven’t been able to work. In normal life, I’m passionate about local, organic, seasonal eating and cooking, so I decided to pursue this passion and deliver organic eggs around Sussex. It’s been really successful so far, with over 150 customers!
Our eggs come from an RSPCA-approved organic higher welfare farm near Lewes, and they are delicious! Every box comes with a seasonal recipe, which I cook every week and post on this page.
By buying from us, you are supporting not just me, but also local farmers - and you can enjoy every egg knowing it came from a happy hen!
