This magic phrase helps me so much -
This magic phrase helps me so much Hi, How are you? February already! So I wanted to share something with you. A little phrase that I've been saying to myself quite a bit recently. It's really been helping me do things that lie outside of my comfort zone. And I think it could help you too. It's this. I can do hard things J...

Do you keep it simple? -
Do you keep it simple? Hi, How are you? I hope you're well! Let's talk about keeping things simple. Sounds obvious I know. But in a world of information overload, it's easy to overlook. Take food for example. Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants. Boom! Not my quote. It's actually by food journalist, Mike Pollan....
Opening up can be scary -
Opening up can be scary What will people think of me? What if I say the wrong thing? But when I find the courage to step into a less-ego-driven space - release a c***k of that armour - something changes. I walk away feeling lighter, more confident, more empowered
When my tummy also doubled up as a table. Third trimester vibes. Tell me I wasn’t the only one to do this?! 😂
Happy Sats everyone 😘
Stories have always been at the heart of my life.
I was a total book worm at school and was always crafting epic tales. My degree was in the arts and literature. I was a journalist and editor for 15 years. I continue to write today.
So it’s no wonder stories weave their way into pretty much every single yoga class I teach for children.
Creativity, imagination and play are how children learn, develop and make sense of their world. ✨
This pile of books are all beloved in our family home. Most are also faves in my teaching.
What’s your favourite book?
Adult books welcome too! I’m always on the look out for my next read 👀
This is a wonderful day. I’ve never seen this one before.

Another beautiful Women’s Circle last night. Thank you so much to everyone who came 🙏💫💫
We reflected, we journaled, we shared.
We laughed, we cried, we hugged 💗
These evenings are so special and I feel so honoured to be able to run them.
I set up the Circles because I felt something was missing in my life - namely connection and community amongst other women of all ages to explore our shared experiences. The fact that the circles have been so well received and sell out, I think, shows I wasn’t the only one.😊
I have two more Circles coming up on the 18th October and 29th November.
Do come along. I think you’d love it 😘 Click the link in my bio for more info
Mindful listening.
I do this in all my classes - for all ages.
The sound is an anchor and it helps the kids drop into their body and begin to develop focus and that vital skill of tuning inwards.
Kids can sit or lie down - whatever position is comfiest for them to relax into the listening.
I ask them to close their eyes and open them when they can’t hear the sound anymore.
I have chimes, bells, triangles, even a wooden frog. All work well. If you’re a parent, this is a great one to do too with the family.
This is just one of the many fun practices the kids learn at my fun yoga and art camps run with . These days are like mini retreats for the kids filled with play, creativity and relaxation.
Come join us for our October Half Term camp.
When: 23rd and 24th October

Location: Uva, Sri Lanka.
If you find yourself in Ella, Sri Lanka do yourself a huge favour and book a tour with the awesome . It was an absolute highlight for us this summer. You go off the beaten track, swim in deserted pools and waterfalls and have the most delicious Sri Lankan feast cooked over an open fire. Highly recommend. No affiliation. I just sent my latest one out.
In it I shared about the power Non-Negotiables.
Let me explain a little bit more…
When it comes to my personal development, I used to feel overwhelmed with wanting to do everything.
Up at 5am;meditate; journal; yoga; breathwork; workout etc. The list goes on. Eeeeks.😅😅😅
So I changed tack.
I decided to pick some Non-Negotiables.
The things that I knew I just couldn't live without. The things that I enjoyed above all else.
I picked just two - Yoga and Meditation.
No matter what, I would try my very best do these things each and every day. Even if it was just for 5 minutes.
These were my Non-Negotiables. My foundation.
By stripping everything back, I became more focused.
Suddenly it was more achievable.
I was doing it! 💪💪
Everything else -if I managed to squeeze it in - well it was a happy bonus.
And something else amazing happened too.
Slowly I was able to add in more Non-Negotiables.
Like: reading before bed; writing each morning.
Bam! Winning at life 👏👏👏
I developed positive habits that stick!
Which was great for me. And for my family.
What is your Non-negotiable?
What is the one or two things you would most like to do every single day that helps you feel happy, grounded and more connected?
I'd love to hear.
Commit to these and see where it takes you. I hope you find it useful.
And a gentle reminder - if life gets in the way, and you don't do your Non-negotiables, that's ok too. Be kind to yourself and just start again.💕
If this resonates, sign up to my newsletter for more 🥰
I’d love to welcome you to our growing community xx
I am passionate about yoga. I’m also passionate about teaching childrens yoga.
Look at these gorgeous little ones practicing their Sun Dance - a modified version of the traditional Sun Salutation ☀️
We do this sequence each week in preschool classes.
Why?
💫It builds muscle memory
💙 It develops body awareness and co-ordination
💪It builds strength and flexibility
🌼It’s an accessible way for children to begin to link breath to movement.
It really is amazing to see the kids growing in confidence each week.
I have developed a really special curriculum for preschool yoga where children learn the foundations of this ancient discipline through creativity, story telling and play.
If you’re local to North London and would like your little one to try out yoga, come along to classes run with .
This is a unique and heart-formed business I run with my friend Ros which brings together the therapeutic benefits of yoga and art. 🪄
We have a wonderful teacher Lizzie, whom the kids adore, who currently runs our classes in Crouch End and Highgate.
Class is tomorrow at Lauderdale House 10-11am. We’d love to see you!
Our sessions also include circle time, sensory art, bubbles, shakers, parachute and Svassana - how all toddler classes should end in my opinion 😅
You can click the link in my bio to book. Thank you 😘
In case anyone needs a reminder today. I hope you’re all having wonderful day 😘

How one little person feels about their yoga.
Couldn’t agree more. 🥰
Even from a young age children report experiencing the same benefits from yoga as we do as adults. It’s amazing.
Yoga is such a great tool for your child to help them manage the ups and downs of life; big feelings; as well as develop strength, flexibility and body wisdom.
Make sure to follow me for tips! 💜

Doing yoga with your child has so many benefits.
This is Raindrop. Or Diamond Pose if you’re feeling a bit bling 💎
This is a super cute shape with lots of lessons and skills to be learned along the way such as;
💙Communication! You def need to really listen, focus and work as a team here, especially if you want to try and get your toes to touch.
💙Connection. Actually physically playing and using our bodies to create a shape together is super empowering, especially if you let the child lead.
💙 Identity. It’s a great moment to understand all of our bodies are unique with different shapes and sizes. How can we work together, using our beautiful bodies, to create this shape? Each shape is going to unique. Because we are unique.
Honestly, the asana is not the end goal. When practicing with your little one, please don’t get hung up on the outcome. It’s the lessons - learned together - that gives the real value.
Follow me and to learn more ways to connect using yoga and other mindful techniques. Thank you. It’s lovely you’re here 😘
There can be lots of big feelings and emotions as kids go back to school. For us too as routine kicks back in again - cue the endless Whatsapp messages on parent chats 😅😅.
You know the number one thing that helps us all in my family?
Hugs!
Lots and lots of wonderful, squishy hugs.
Apparently research shows that we need 8 hugs a day for general maintenance.
I would say - squeeze in as many as poss.
Butterfly Hugs is a great one to bring hugs into play.
One person sits in Butterfly, soles of feet together. The other sits in the little ‘nest’ between the legs.
Synch up the breath.
Both breathe in deeply and slowly, stretching arms out together. Then exhale, bringing your arms around each other for a lovely, squishy hug. Repeat. And repeat. And repeat.
Soooo goood. To reconnect back to each other. 💜
Make sure to follow me for more tips. 🥰
Do you take stock in September?
Tomorrow is still unwritten.
There is still time. And always a new opportunity.
To shape your day.
To come back to your deepest desires.
To take a step - no matter how seemingly small or insignificant - along the path of your deepest dreams.
You deserve it all.
And do you know what helps me above all else on this journey?
A daily yoga practice.
I truly don’t know how I got along so many years without it.
I’m forever grateful for this wonderful, nuanced and subtle discipline.
What are you grateful for? Let’s show some love for the things that help us navigate this crazy life!
First Monday of September peeps.
You got this
Trust in your journey.
I’m cheering you on 🙌🙌
And if you’re feeling a bit wobbly. Practice some yoga. It always helps. 😘

So lovely to be back teaching after a long summer away. 🌈
We had a lot of fun at our popular yoga and art camp, part of which I run with my friend Ros .
The kids did just brilliantly - so much play, creativity, mindful focus and relaxation. Just how our days should be filled up! It just makes me so happy to see so many smiling faces at the end of the day. 🌈
In the morning we did our yoga moving through circle time, breathwork and our warm up. We then read Taking Time, a beautiful picturebook all about slowing down and appreciating the little things in life -we became the flying birds, beautiful trees and even the gentle breeze, amongst others. We created our own sequences and stories- with props!- before coming back down to relax with a shell meditation and sleepy Svassana. Bliss.✨
In the afternoon the kids focused on their artwork, led by Ros , creating beautiful shells using a variety of mixed media featuring oil pastels, mark making and painting. The kids learnt many techniques and the work was just outstanding. We also did lots of crafts including making picture frames, beading, affirmation paper chains and much more!
Phew, such a busy day! But all at a gentle pace for the kids with lots of time for break out play too. Because we know kids need space too.
Thank you so much to everyone who came today.
It really is such a joy the many beneficial tools from yoga with the next generation. 🌈🌈
I’m taking a little break from social media over the summer. ☀️🏝
I love this community 💜
Thank you so much to everyone who has come to one of my classes, workshops, camps. And thank you to everyone who follows me, comments and generally just hangs out with me on this feed. 🙏
But downing digital tools is a really important way for me to reset and spend quality time. Not only with my family, but also with myself. I always feel better for it.
Not going to lie - does feel a bit scary though. What if the algorithm forgets all about me 👀
But, then, I remember. It will all still be waiting here, just as I left off for when I return. As will all the lovely people who really want to be here.
So have a wonderful summer everyone. I hope you manage to find moments of rest and wonder.
And even if you’re not heading off anywhere, remember: holiday can be a state of mind too.
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
Sail away, kill off the hours
You belong somewhere you feel free 💜

Yay, beautiful new flyer with all the dates for my forthcoming Women’s Circles, running from September onwards.
I’d love to welcome you. Just drop me a note with any questions. 💜💐
Another lovely Women’s Circle last night where we reflected on the theme of Growth. Still buzzing. Thank you so much to everyone who came - I love sharing space with you all 💜
Growth seemed like a really apt theme to round off 8 months of running these circles. I have personally grown so much during this time, in part from running these circles.
It’s really not easy to grow as it often means moving out of your comfort zone, doing something new. Which can feel scary and overwhelming. And can I mention scary again 😅
But don’t let this stop you.
Move through it. And I’ve found the key is seeking help along the way.
I used to find it hard to ask for support but it really has helped me so much pursue new projects and directions in my life - such as these Women Circles.
So I’m giving massive thanks to those that have held my hand along the way.
for holding the fort and listening patiently to my never-ending post mortems.
for coaching me through best practice on facilitating and leading groups like this, including his awesome suggestion of putting together a co-created document outlining our group values.
My special friend Ros for always encouraging and mentoring me through all the highs and lows.
And lastly, I want to thank the lovely for introducing me to the magic of circles in the first place, when she invited me to join a group of amazing women navigating our lives together in Singapore. I missed it so much when I came back to Europe, which in part spurred me on to create these.
It takes a village peeps! Hold each other along the way 🌈🌈
Love this note I found my eldest daughter writing.
Not just Look up.
But also: what do you see?
You can bring mindfulness into your day anytime. Simply by noticing, bringing all your awareness and senses to the moment.
One game I like to play with my kids is when we’re out, I ask them to tell me what sounds they hear, or what can they smell. Sounds super simple and it is - but I’m always amazed at how much we miss in our everyday rushing around. You can also go on hunts looking for different colours, textures, objects, shapes - literally the list is endless.
Last places available for my final Women’s Circle on 19th July, 19.30-21.00 before we break for the summer holiday.
I love running these and always come away with insights and learnings. Which just naturally emerges from us all being together.
Here’s a little idea of what actually happens on these popular sessions.
-We arrive and you’re welcomed with herbal tea and snacks.
-I guide everyone through a brief meditation or visualisation to help us all arrive and ground.
-I’ll introduce the theme and then we’ll spend some time journaling. Or write about anything. Or just sit and listen to the music I play. You’re welcome just as you are, to get exactly what you need out of the session.🌈
-We’ll then open up the circle and begin to talk, each taking our turn to share for up to 3 minutes our thoughts and experiences.
-We then open up the circle for further discussion and reflections before ending.
-You’re welcome to take home any of the home made posies and inspiration/love notes I hand write for everyone. And I’m always here for hugs too!
Some of the themes we’ve looked at include: Gratitude, Love, Family, Identity, Hope, Joy.
So, if you’re curious, come along! There really is something so special about being together. Message me if you’d like to join. Cost £8.
Location: Crouch End Picturehouse, Private Bar.
