Maintaining a Fitness Routine with Young Children
A lot of people find it hard to maintain a fitness routine with young children. This is because they are not able to go to the gym or exercise in the morning. The best time for them would be after their kids have gone to bed at night.
The good news is that there are many ways that they can still work out while pregnant and maintain their fitness routine. Some of these ways include going for walks, doing yoga, and swimming. Your mental health should always be a priority but during the holidays its something that we should really be aware of. Sometimes things can seem so much worse when we can only see the bleak mid winter. That is why its so important to make sure you always talk to people, remind yourself of how much you are loved and be sure that you take care of yourself.

There are many benefits to being physically active when you are a busy mom. It can help you maintain your mental health and it will also help you maintain your physical health.
It is important to make time for yourself, even if it is just for 20 minutes a day. This will help you feel better about yourself, which will also make it easier to be more active.

Its Christmas time and that makes everything that little bit harder. Trying to keep on top of what we eat, making sure we exercise and just potentially finding time for ourselves. Let alone just getting through this month.
Try and break the week down and plan ahead, if you know you are going out for the staff Christmas party on Thursday, try and get the work outs in on Tuesday and Wednesday instead. If you felt you over indulged at that party, try and get extra fluids on board and try to eat a little better over the weekend. If you want more advise on this drop me a message!
The age old statement!
"I don't want to lift weights because I want to loose weight, that's why I run"
This is something that I myself thought was how you used weight (when I was much much younger) and in some way it is right, but the only way that it actually is right, is if your eat less calories than you burn during that run.
Now something that we have learnt over the year is the importance of Strength Training/Resistance Training. I always advise to my clients that Strength Training done right is the main way that we can get you to live a full, healthy and functional life!

Something I have noticed in last couple of years when anyone is trying to loose weight, is the misinterpretation about Calorie Counting.
Calorie counting is your helper. It's like having a spotter when you're lifting a heavier weight, you know you won't need them as you get stronger, nor will you need them when that weight is easier in the future.
It's all about getting your life to a point where you don't need to calorie count and instead have an understanding of what foods are good for you and what foods aren't. As well as understanding how much food you actually need to reach your goals and live a happy life.
