Just a few behind the scenes pictures of how we flower up for a wedding, these were for our family wedding last month and It was all hands on decks to get the venue ready. We had the best time xx

💐 MEET THE PRODUCER 💐

Get a peek into the stunning flower garden at PembsPetals. The Peninsula Food Market is not only about food, it is about the amazing variety of local producers who inhabits the land of this beautiful Peninsula. Gill is one of them, as she has for the last 3 years grown her own flower business as a response to imported flowers that uses high inputs of energy and artificial fertilisers. As a horticulturist through 15 years she keeps asking the question - 'where do we get our produce from?' - which also led her to join the Peninsula Food Market the moment she started PembsPetals.
Besides selling her bouquets on the Peninsula Food Market, she supplies them regularly to homes and holiday lets on subscription, weddings, funerals and she also offers buckets of flowers so you can arrange your own bouquets!

Gill's favorite flowers are Roses, Sweet Peas, Dahlias and Peony. She cultivates these amongst an amazing range of other flowers, and she also uses the edges - the grasses, weeds and herbs surrounding her beds. She grows everything naturally completely free of chemicals, using local manure. Her 'style' is very much leaving things be - she lets the flowers self seed, and welcomes plants, that she didn't necessarily plan to grow. And it is buzzing with pollinators and life in her garden!

In the future Gill dreams about expanding and inviting more people onto the land, through offering workshops as well as 'pick your own'. Definitely something to be looking forward to!

We had a lovely time creating seasonal wreaths yesterday The Perennial Gardens and Cafe, the sun was out and it was actually warm in the tunnel! Everyone created a lovely Springy Wreath x

It looks a fab few days for the show!!! I was very touched to have been asked to provide some flowers to demonstrate how local, seasonal flowers look. These have no floral foam (most florists are moving away from using the toxic stuff) All made on a natural base that is safe to leave in situ. No toxic chemicals used in the growing process either. Do drop me a line if I can help with farewell flowers. I can even run a workshop where we can make your farewell flowers for your loved one. A lovely process which I’m sure helps in a very tricky time.

I’ve just been sent these pics of my honesty hut Porthclais kiosk…. look isn’t he adorable!! So pleased that this pup had the sense to shelter from the rain whilst his hoomans were in the queue for coffee and cakes! Adrorable xx
