January 5th seems about time to make my return after a chunk of time off over December.🤪
Happy New Year Followers 🥂

Taken some time lately to spend with family, friends and to enjoy my favourite time of year. Interior Design is not an easy career path and it’s been far from easy since Aug 2022 so this month as a family we are focusing on enjoying the season, having fun and spending time with family! So here’s to December, here’s to living in the moment a little bit more, spending time making memories instead of documenting every move we make! Step away from Instagram a little bit, it will still be here when we come back…. I promise 😂🎉

Finally, the shelves for now are complete. Adding open shelving into a new build kitchen adds style and functionality to a space.

1. It allows you to showcase your personality. A touch of your personality within your kitchenware or even something you picked up in a antiques store which you just fell in love with!
2. Illusion of space. Open shelving create an illusion of a larger space instead of filling a wall with enclosed cabinets.
3. Mix up the materials. By adding some open shelving you’re allowing a mix of materials against a sea of cabinetry. The mix can create a warm and inviting space. It makes it a home by adding a few bits you love instead of just plates and glasses!

We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry’s passing. He was a true gift to us all. Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans.

Last Tuesday I spent feeling awful in bed and this Tuesday I have plenty of work to catch up on so top tips post will be up later on! It’s half term this week and we have Phoebes 3rd Birthday party this weekend so it’s a busy week for Birthday and Halloween Party prep! What better way to start a Monday then with a little before and after! Finally, the playroom/snug is pretty much complete. Isn’t it amazing what some paint, furniture arrangement and wall decor can do!?

Blue, the color of boundless skies and expansive oceans, has an artistic knack for sparking imagination. It taps into our wanderlust, inviting thoughts of exploration and adventure. The reason we chose &ball was because of the softness it had to the colour even though it’s a bold and brave choice for a north facing room.

We chose to paint the ceiling in here and to treat the room as the cosy space it is! In an afternoon or evening it’s the perfect room to get snuggly and watch a movie in and the difference in lighting options for this room play a key role! The neon sign from gives off the perfect amount of light and the side lamp is simply enough yet effective enough to provide enough light that’s needed!

Opt for a gallery wall to provide some interest and it doesn’t always have to be central to the wall! Being such a personal space we’ve opted for some personal family photos as well as some fun images that kids chose! Adding some personal family photos makes the space feel real and feel a safe space! The neon light really acts as a central view point.

🏯Did you know I lived in Singapore, Malaysia and Dubai throughout my childhood and young adult years?! 🎏 With these Inspo images I wanted to bring some of the modern day Asian influence into my home and strangely over the years I’ve slowly been adding pieces of furniture which I’ve loved but wasn’t sure what my Interior style really was. I’m starting to realise that my childhood has played a huge role in how my home looks today!

The grandeur of dark wood furniture mixed with soft metals such as antiqued brass and golds echoes both tradition and timeless beauty in these images. A trend that was seen a lot at Decorex this year was the background of landscapes. It’s going to be a big trend in 2024 and I love it! I’ve even managed to bring an element in through my own living room transformation which I can’t wait to show you!

✨ Step into the season with style! 🍂 Here are my top 5 doorscaping ideas to welcome autumn. From rustic wreaths to warm hues, let’s elevate your door game and celebrate the beauty of this cozy season!

1. Pumpkins- Pumpkins, Obviously...
It wouldn't be autumn without pumpkins. While fresh ones from pumpkin farms will stay in perfect condition for around a month (if they haven't been pierced), decorative pumpkins last even longer — and can be reused every year. Tip- Opt for more than 1 and different types to mix it up a bit.

2. Lighting- Elevate your front door with glowing lights and lanterns. To create the best look, I suggest grouping in sets of 3 for a more cohesive look. For a more striking look, consider traditional tones, such as golds or silvers, as they will complement the glorious blazing colours of autumn

3. Wreath- Wreaths provide a focal point and they will transform your outdoor space in an instant, and, best of all, can be reused year after year.

4. Doormat- Welcome guests into your home this autumn with a seasonal doormat. As well as creating a wonderful entrance, it's a great way to limit dirt being dragged inside.

5. Composition
Focus on framing the space not filling it. Gather all your autumnal bits and aim to create a functional space. Blend colours, textures and lighting together to create a seamless yet beautiful seasonal space to enjoy.

When on earth did this happen! October already! I am so ready to get all the pumpkins out and some little Halloween decs around the house! Considering we’ve spent the weekend putting up some kitchen shelves I’ve been swoooooning over some autumn styling for shelves! Little corner of personality! 💫

The playroom/snug is finally almost complete! Having a space that purely houses the toys, games, books and copious amounts of puzzles is a game changer for me! The living room becomes more of a relaxing, adult zone and the playroom/snug becomes a free space for the children to feel comfortable to play in without having as many boundaries as the rest of the home. Do you have a space where the children can express themselves? 🎭

The paint is and by painting the ceiling really created a cosy and cocooning feel to the room. The deep blue is calming yet fresh for young imaginations to run wild!

By creating a gallery wall above the side table allows the large wall to have some personality. Not everything needs to be centred to the wall, this space was also created with a fab neon light from and I highly recommend the brand! Not so bright that you can’t look directly at it but bright enough to not need a side table lamp on at the same time! It’s also super fun!!
