I woke up this morning to see that Wardrobe 44 has 40,000 followers!! I’m blown away. 💕 Thank you so much to every single person who has followed me and liked, messaged and commented on my posts and stories. It really means so, so much and I’m so grateful. In a way the number 40 means a lot, because it’s in my 40s that I found my ambition and focus, and that this wonderful adventure came about. I used to be a print journalist, but it’s this evolving brand that has stoked my fire. In many ways, my 40s have been my hardest decade (and certainly the one in which I’ve worked the hardest), but they’ve also been the one to show me you can never stop dreaming, and that it’s never too late to try something new. Did anyone see the meteor shower last night? I think I might’ve seen…one! 🤣 But, we went out too early and I couldn’t stay awake past twelve. Not, that I slept that well as it was a hot, sticky night in Sussex. These tops and tees are perfect for days like these, but also going forward into cooler days, as they are perfect for layering. I had the loveliest day yesterday, I don’t usually make much of my birthday (it was the first time I ever mentioned in on Insta!) but I took the day off, ate a Gail’s cinnamon bun, went for a beautiful run with my husband and dog (swipe to the last pic for the stunning view), ate brunch, saw friends and hang out with the kids. Still low key, but perfect because I am solar powered and the sun shone! ☀️☀️☀️

May is my favourite month, not least because when the sun shines, like this week, getting dressed is such a breeze. I wore this jumpsuit yesterday and it felt so good. Just back from an incredibly lucky Easter break. Last year was a bit of a tough one as my husband was made redundant, so we didn’t go away, so this holiday was very much needed (I was on my knees before we left!) There’s nothing like a bit of sunshine to restore you. I’m working my way through orders, which will go out on Monday (thank you for your patience!) The humble cardigan isn’t so humble when it has lurex cuffs and hem, a gorgeous relaxed fit and is made from a soft mohair-mix. ✨ Anyone who has followed me for a while knows how much I love a statement cardigan. They really are the ultimate wardrobe hero and a year-round essential. The colours in this one are perfect for Spring/Summer and it just feels soooo good to wear.
