We had a fantastic weekend with the team providing a full livestream broadcast service to Fightstream.tv for their inaugural British boxing show this weekend. All produced within full government guidelines with regards to COVID-19, the show was a huge success.

This week two of our core members of staff are flying the nest. Lead Artist John Kavanagh and Assistant Producer Kayleigh Stevens. They have both been a huge part of the studio since it’s initial inception a couple of years ago and the studio simply wouldn’t exist in its current form without their hard work, dedication, openness to learning and quick adaptation to new deadlines.

A huge thank you from everyone at the studio and University for all of your help over the years. We can’t wait to see both of you thrive in the games industry!

We are looking for a paid 3D animator intern to join our team in October. Applications close tomorrow and you must be a Teesside University 2019 or 2020 graduate.

Working closely with the Art and Design Leads, you will be responsible for the creation of 3D animations to be implemented into various projects. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and flexible individual, with knowledge spanning across the full animation pipeline, including rigging knowledge and game engine implementation.
Essential Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of animation principles and their application
• Knowledge of character rigging
• Knowledge of animation implementation pipeline into Unreal Engine 4
• Confident within 3D animation programmes such as Maya, 3Ds Max or Blender
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of cutscene pipelines including storyboarding
• Animation within the Unreal Engine
• Ability to create 3D assets

Working closely with the Art Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the generation of art concepts to support many of our tender applications. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and willing to bring their own ideas to the table.
Essential Skills:
•Ability to work in multiple artistic styles
•Fast concept and iteration of ideas across all aspects of a brief
•High levels of aesthetic ability, judgement, and eye for detail
•Understanding of composition, lighting and colour theory skills and appreciation
•Solid knowledge of Photoshop (or similar illustration program)
•Strong interest in the understanding of cultural influences which extend past games, movies, & TV
Desired Skills:
•Experience with 3D asset program e.g. 3Ds Max, Maya or Blender

We are looking for a 3D artist intern. This is a paid internship for 2019 & 2020 Teesside University graduates.

Many of the studio’s projects require professional level 3D assets to be designed for implementation within our projects. The projects themselves can range from games, to process visualisations for industry and everything in-between. Used within VR, AR and on web-based platforms. You will be working closely with our lead designer and will be a valuable part of our art team creating high end visual 3D models with guidance every step of the way.
Essential Skills:
•Extensive knowledge of 3DS Max (or similar)
•Basic 3D modelling skills (Blender, 3ds Max and Maya are accepted software)
Desired Skills:
•Proficient in several art styles (character design, environment)
•Understanding of the Unreal Engine
•Experience of optimisation techniques
•Experience in virtual reality technology
