Ooooo. I have new LOOPFEST headliner news. BUT CAN'T SAY JUST YET! It's gonna kill me keeping this in.

LOOPFEST is about making magical family moments as much as it is about promoting our wonderful counties musical charmers.

LOOPFEST 2024 saw us create an open day at the castle with magicians and musicians alike.

Many of you said it was your favourite part of the festival and we are aiming to make LOOPFEST25 even more family orientated. 👶🧑‍🦳

We're big fans of Hive Shrewsbury. Good people, doing great things... proper community things to do with music and art. It's the stuff you don't want to lose.

Just look back at when all the funding was cut to community arts programmes in 2008 and how the mental health crisis started to grow.

A healthy society is one that fosters a sense of community, and The Hive is bloody good at that.

If we all donate just a little, we can save this amazing place from disappearing.

So if you're flush, send them over a wedge, it's just like a drunken Temu splurge, except you’re not exploiting children in the process you're helping kids to discover music and art.

Our LOOPY was out last week at Shrewsbury College London Road Campus to discuss how LOOPFEST and Shrewsbury Colleges Group can work together to give students real world experiences in event management 👊💥

We've had a great team of students working with us for the past two LOOPFEST events but this meeting was the start of what looks to be beautiful partnership. Watch this space...

LOOPY has some excellent news! Last night LOOPFEST was awarded a £1,500 grant from Shrewsbury Town Council. We'll be passing this money onto Hive Shrewsbury who will be running a series of music workshops leading up to LOOPFEST 2025, and over the LOOPFEST weekender (3rd and 4th May 2025).

LOOPFEST creator Jamie Smith was in attendance and would like to thank all those who chose to support us. And to congratulate the other organisations who also received funding.

What makes this grant special for the LOOPFEST crew is that this is the first step in our vision is to create a huge event in the town that will generate income - and we can then afford to fund projects run by organisations such as The Hive, either as part of a LOOPFEST element or just a project we're all behind.

We call all have a jolly good time, and then support good causes that enables access to the arts, helps artists flourish and ultimately brings people together.
