Lovely to see Felixstowe featured in this article.
10 of the best UK beaches for swimming Whether you want to swim long distances safely, or just bob about in a beautiful spot, there is a bay or cove to suit
This shows how important a brightly coloured tow float and swimming hat is for increased visibility and safety when swimming in the open water, especially in a busy river like the Deben and with even a slight chop or waves. It would be almost impossible for a kayaker, SUPer or sailor to see someone swimming flat in the water otherwise.
Just signed up to this event (recreational class), would anyone like to join me?

This is an important message. Even experienced open water swimmers can experience cold water shock in the summer, especially if itβs a warm sunny day and the water is still cold, maiming the contrast in temperatures greater.
Gorgeous sunny, calm evening for a coaching session at Waldringfield this evening π
Waiting for the tide to come in for a swim in the beautiful river Alde at Slaughden.
