Applied Scientific Technologies UK Ltd have recently designed, developed and manufactured a heating and cooling block specifically developed for laboratory automation applications that can fit onto almost any robotic system.
The blocks heat and cool to within +/- 0.5°C within the temperature range of 0°C to 100°C, however these can be altered upon request.

Initially developed as a production application for a client within the food and beverage industry, the Deft mobile temperature probe digitally records the temperature of an experiment/process and automatically uploads this data into LIMS without the need for any cables directly to Applied Scientific’s Deft box.

AST are the global specialists for SiLA 2 integration and development and the latest addition to our growing library of laboratory instruments includes a custom SiLA driver for an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Imagery device.
The OCR Imagery Device enables a way to capture data when a lab instrument does not have a connectivity port. The camera takes an image of the speed, heat, time etc every couple of seconds and sends this data directly to the Deft Gateway.

Recently, our team at Applied Scientific Technologies designed and developed a tablet inspection machine for global leader in sustainable technologies, Johnson Matthey.
The inspection machine uses an ABB SCARA robot and a high precision vision system to inspect the quality of the tablets and identify any defects ensuring they meet the required standards. The inspection system then accurately passes and rejects the tablets based on their quality.
