I love this quote and have to remind myself at times when the s**t hits the fan.
Ancient yogis, gurus, and spiritual leaders have advised us for centuries and are still quoting this today. There are many positive self-help techniques available in the world. All we have to do is look, find the one or many, make the effort and embrace.
As humans, we can make ourselves better by either choosing a yoga style, a form of exercise or meditation practice to help us recharge, recalibrate and de-stress.
My teachings as a Pranayama (Breathing) instructor have led me to ‘Laughter Yoga’ as it is an instant stress reliever and an effective way of warming your lungs; this gift and fabulous technique was founded in 1995 by Dr. Madan Kataria from Mumbai, India

No matter how hurtfully others behave, they cannot make me react with meanness. The more unkindness people showed to me, the more understanding I give to them. ... That self-control has tremendous power. Never allow your voice to be harsh out of anger or vengefulness. Like a flower, shed petals of kindness when you are aggravated by others or attacked by the evil in them. By self-control and right behavior you will ultimately realize that you are part of the Eternal Good; you do not belong anymore to the wrong ways of this world.

Come and OM chant at the' Breath Yoga Meditation' class. On Mondays, 6pm-7pm and Wednesdays, 6.30pm -7.30pm @ Quinborne Community Centre. The benefits of OM, are a vibration sound felt through your vocal cord that clears and opens up the sinuses. Chanting OM can have cardiovascular benefits, reducing stress and relaxing your body. It lowers blood pressure and helps the heartbeat with a regular rhythm.
