And what better way to kick of 2024 but with the usual suspects chatting rubbish and playing the music that you love 🤘🏻

Join us tomorrow night for our New Year's Day Special, where we are joined by Oxfordshire's Metalcore band DepolarizeUk, chatting with them and finding out which bands influenced their style. Not forgetting to put them on the spot with our covenanted "Would you rather" questions

Gig Review: Rabidfest – The Bullingdon, Oxford (4th-5th November 2023) 30/11/2023

This year's Rabidfest was an absolute blast. I have my doubts that my review does it any justice but take my word... Don't miss out next year 🤘🏻

Despite the cold weather, everyone was smiling and enjoying the lineup on both days and really enjoying themselves.

Don't believe me? Then get yourself a ticket and come along next year. I will be there doing this all over again 🖤

Gig Review: Rabidfest – The Bullingdon, Oxford (4th-5th November 2023) Well, it has been quite some time since writing my last review after Oxford M2TM competition has ended with such an amazing final, I found myself without many events planned. Bloodstock already bei…

Shave for S.O.P.H.I.E, organized by Jamie Caddick 16/10/2023

So I have decided to to lose my lovely curly hair for Charity and will be having it removed next month during Oxfords Rabidfest. The more donations make so much of a difference, and can really help people out

The S.O.P.H.I.E Lancaster foundations main aim is to campaign to have the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from alternative subcultures

I love it when a band is so humbled for getting an invitation to play an event. Once again Red Method played an outstanding set, but no review this time guys I'm afraid 😜 for I was merely a spectator for a change

Our recent headline / co-heading run of shows last week in Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow proved that metal is alive and well. Love to Tortured Demon and Unburier for pulling out awesome sets as well as all the bands that played in Newcastle - LIMINAL and TrendKill and so many acts like Recall The Remains, Portrayal Of Ruinn, Vulgar Chaos that destroyed Moshville Times at Oktoberfest in Glasgow

A big shout out to our crew Db Sounds and richard humphries for going above and beyond. Andy for making sure we arrived in places in one piece. Sheri Bicheno , Shells of Moshville Times Jay of Moshville Times for looking after us and a big amount of respect to Ricky of Moshville Times for stepping in and giving us a place to stay in Glasgow. We will never forget this.

So much love to all those that bought merch and travelled to see us from show to show. We see and appreciate you. Strap yourselves in because it’s about to get crazy!

We are delighted to unveil our final member to Red Method to you - our Blood-lin3.

We believe this addition will propel the band to new heights.

It is with immense pleasure that we introduce James Perry on the drums.

James brings with him a wealth of experience (Onslaught, Ted Maul, This Is Endless, Bull Riff
Stampede) with an undeniable skill set on the drums and has a deep-rooted connection to the band.

“After standing in for what I thought would be just a few shows, I’m absolutely stoked to become
part of the Red Method family. I hope to bring even more power to an already dominant force and I
can’t wait for what we have to unveil in the near future” says James.

Vocalist - J S.A.N.G.R.E adds:
“Me and James go back to the wild Ted Maul days and This Is Endless, we have lived and breathed
this for a long time. He is a close brother to me and is a true powerhouse on the drums on stage and
in the studio. James’s ability to seamlessly merge accurate technical proficiency with raw emotion
and intense energy is a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft. Having shared the stage
with Red Method in the past, James has developed a great understanding of the band's musical
vision, dynamics, and signature sound. The seamless integration into the Red Method bloodline will undoubtedly enhance the band's sonic landscape and ignite a new era of creativity, madness and musical exploration.”

Please join us in celebrating this occasion as we anticipate the sonic revolution that James ‘The
Soldier’ Perry will undoubtedly bring to Red Method.

I planned to take so many pictures this year... And failed 😞 but here's a quick photo dump anyway

What a great year it has been despite the poor weather. Making new friends and meeting up with old ones. Having the pleasure of Shoot To Kill absolutely destroy opening up the New Blood Stage to watching Trollfest all wearing pink flamingo outfits 🦩

That's Bloodstock Festival done for another year, I have 3 festivals lined up before we return to Catton Park once again, plus a load more gigs in between. See you all in the future and stay safe 🤘🏻

🤘🏻The review from Metal 2 the Masses - Oxford GRAND FINAL is imminent! 🤘🏻

Indecorum - REVELLER - Stone Soup - Shoot To Kill

My apologies for the delay for this, my day to day life has been interrupted with personal stuff, a job promotion at work (go me 😁) and of course the school holidays are in full swing so spent a large amount of time in Devon with my little sidekick

I can honestly say it has been a hell of a competition, not only with my first time reviewing this event but also my first time attending. Much love to all of you and I will hopefully see you all this weekend 🖤🤘🏻

Our winners Shoot To Kill have hit the bill 🤘🏻

ANNOUNCEMENT

This week the Metal 2 The Masses scheme is closing out this year’s initiative with the final batch of 10 lucky bands who won local heats to score a slot on the New Blood stage.

Friday’s New Blood line-up will include:
🔥 Oxford heat victors, Shoot To Kill, who’ll be bringing their metalcore breakdowns and 90s riffs.
🔥 Modern metal squad, Apathy.uk, whose brutal downtuned riffs and psychedelic soundscapes won out in Devon & Cornwall.
🔥 Bournemouth’s winners, To Obey A Tyrant.
🔥 Devils Henchmen picked up the Merseyside prize.
🔥 Grabbing the last Friday slot are South Wales outfit, Torchbearer

Grabbing a Saturday New Blood slot will be:
🔥 Cheltenham’s Skora.
🔥 Northampton’s Picture The Scene also win their place.
🔥 The Dead XIII picked up the prize in the Burnley heat.
🔥 Picking up Saturday’s final space are Stoke’s winners, Bloodmores.

Sunday’s New Blood line-up welcomes:
🔥 Nottingham’s winners, Beyond Your Design.

🔥 On Sunday morning, over at the Sophie Lancaster Stage, the party also gets started by the winner of Planet Rock Radio’s band competition. Chosen from hundreds of entries, Phoenix Lake came out on top.

Due to extenuating circumstances, a number of alterations to the bill have been necessary:

Due to some unforeseen logistical issues out of ZEAL & ARDOR's hands, Zeal & Ardor are unfortunately not able to perform on Saturday at BLOODSTOCK. Rather than BLOODSTOCKers lose out entirely on what will be a spectacular set, festival management have managed to move the band to Sunday's Sophie Lancaster stage line up. ZEAL & ARDOR will now play their full 75-minute set, with their full production, directly before headliners, BIOHAZARD.

KING 810’s set will now move to Thursday and TRIBE OF GHOSTS to Saturday. In addition, EYES have had to withdraw from the festival and will be replaced by Ambrius in the Saturday morning opening slot on the Sophie Lancaster Stage.
