"My name is Sinead Egan. I’m a professional working guitarist, singer-songwriter and pianist. I did the Hackney Half Marathon for Help Musicians UK because I wanted to give something back as a musician to an organisation that helps us get support, advice and be part of community within such a tough, emotional based career. It’s great that they not only help with advice on the business/finance side of being a musician and the industry, but they also support musicians with their mental health; there is somewhere we can turn to when we’re in need. This is massively important to me and one of the reasons why I’m lucky that Help Musicians UK exists. I want the charity to still exist for others in years to come too."

Are you keen like Sinead to help us continue the vital work we do? Check out some of the places we still have available in challenge events this year, such as the Kew Gardens 10k coming up in September: http://bit.ly/2T307hU
