This was only installed 9 months ago. Thousands of pounds spent for me to fail on 1st inspection/sweep. Why you may ask ? Well the liners are double walled and are very thin. When putting it down the old chimney flue it's been pushed against an old brick or uneven wall that has forced this damage. The only way this can be rectified is to get it pressure tested by the company who installed it. If it passes then you can go ahead and use your stove. This will only in time get worst as the soot lodges and spreads the hole wider. Before you hand over your hard earned cash, be certain to get the company to put a camera up the liner and check its not damaged or get it pressure tested as part of the completion certificate. At Summit Sweep I do camera inspections on every sweep and will get you to witness the whole inspection, before and after sweeping. With damage like this it can be a serious Carbon Monoxide leak point. There is no compromise when it comes to your health, as its not nice finding someone passed out or even dead from this kind of poisoning.

This can help if you have neglected your flues for a number of years and return them to pristine conditions. PM for more details if your interested.
