The Garden Room Retreat
Getting away from the stresses of life in the upper Worth Valley. Holiday accommodation. A place to
Some beautiful autumnal colours at Hardcastle Crags at this time of year.
After the storm.
Thinking back to that blissful sunny weather we had not so long ago!
Hasn't it changed so suddenly?!
If you walk over to Hardcastle Crags, you might catch a glimpse of their wild Exmoor Ponies
Sometimes it feels like you're on top of the world.
A quiet morning in Haworth
I feel light and breezy when I'm up at The Garden Room.
Still warm enough for an evening stroll.

We're ready for you!
Where are we?
There we are!
Come and escape in the Worth Valley, with wild BrontΓ« Country moorlands to explore, upland fields lined with dry stone walls and dotted with sheep. But if you prefer a cool leisurely walk, you can wander along the trickling streams and rivers in the valley, dappled in light.
Right now it's buzzing with life, wild flowers, insects and birds.
I love it here
The sun's behind the clouds today but it's nice walking weather.
Who can find the Railway Children's House?
1940s weekend this weekend in Haworth and the sun is shining!
Chickens often wander freely, not only on country paths like here, but also up and down Haworth Main Street π
My dog rounded this lot up and they retreated back into their he l yard, apart from this one, who stood her ground and almost sized herself up to my terrier π
You've got to love a chicken!
When out walking through the Worth Valley, it wouldn't be unheard of to stumble across a horse just hanging out in someone's garden π
I guess no longer used to work the land, they've now become fond companions.
Around every corner is a new friend π
Geese!
You'll find lots of nature in the Worth Valley!
The colours at this time of year are so vibrant! π
Beautiful evening up at Leeming tonight.
And why not...
It's been a bit soggy today but spring is still all around us!
It suddenly feels like such a long time since all that snow, just last week! π
Some lovely guests left us some beautiful flowers. πΊ
Spring really does feel like it's in the air!
Well I was going to post about how it was starting to feel like spring, but...
Happy snow day!
I've decided to start a tiny miniature indoor garden, by propagating different succulents from their leaves. Some I'd bought as larger plants to have at The Garden Room but were sadly rotten when I bought them, others just happily drop their leaves.
This will live at my studio for now ( ) so I can keep an eye on it, but hopefully it'll make it's way too The Garden Room soon.
Merry Christmas from !! π
We missed the snow this year as we were away ourselves, so thought I should share a photo from a few years ago.
Hope you are all happy, warm and enjoying life!
We loved the torchlight procession last night with ! If you missed it, don't worry, it's on again tonight! Meet at the bottom of Main Street 4.45 π
Made me so happy to see this place full of water again today!! The drought this year was scary when you saw how low the reservoirs were. There are lots of lovely reservoirs to walk alongside near . Tranquil calm places full of reflections. Today we explored one of our favourites - Leeming. Leeming offers an easy flat stroll amongst the more dramatic hills. Perfect if you just want a little wander to blow the cobwebs away.
Christmas Trees being sold this weekend at π
Hamish is ready for you! ππΆ
