On Sunday 14th November I'm planning on holding a group voice session as part of a training program I have been following the past year. During the session we will go through simple voice excersises designed to aid in developing mindful awareness and finish with a relaxation process. No singing experience is required.
If anyone is interested in joining send me a message and I will keep you updated on information. I need a minimum of 6 people for the session to be able to count so I very much appreciate anyone who is able to attend!

Yin yoga is a slow practice where we hold postures for a longer period of time, beneficial both for improving flexibility, relieving tension and calming down the nervous system.

Many of us live in a fast paced world where stress is all to often normalised. Various surveys show that, depending on line of work, anywhere between 50-75% of employees in the UK have experienced burnout related symptoms.
When we are stressed our body stays in the state of 'fight-or-flight' response and energy is drawn away from non-vital processes such as digestion and distribution of nutrients around the body. Being in this state for a prolonged period of time can be detrimental to our overall health and wellbeing.
Engaging in hollistic practices such as yoga and meditation that focus on connecting the mind with the body breath have been proven to help us maintain a greater overall balance in our nervous system. The simple action of extending our exhale so that it is longer than our inhale can lower our heart rate and levels of cortisol (a marker of stress).

Is anyone interested in holding a creative workshop or series?
Dana Skärgård's aim is to build a creative meeting space and community for all different forms of art, be it movement, music, crafts or more. If you have an idea that you would like to host, or even just have a hobby that you would love to have a space online to work and share with others get in touch! We're really keen on building collaborations and helping individuals to support each other :)
Would anyone be interested in a shorter meditation session some time during the week? We are planning to have a weekday slot (donation based) where we can get together for 30-45mins and sit together in stillness. If this is something that would be of interest to you, what time of day would suit you best? Early morning, lunch time or evening?

Yin yoga classes are now being recorded and available in digital format for 1 week after the live class. Practice whenever the time suits you.

Your breath is your anchor ~ (anonymous).
Nadi Shodana (alternative nostril breathing) is a useful practice than can help to re-centre and ground the mind. Practice by followong these simple steps:
1. Close your eyes and place your two peace fingers lightly between the eyebrows.
2. Gently close your right nostril with your thumb (or with the pinky and ring finger if you are left handed). Inhale through the left.
3. Close the left nostril. Release and exhale through the right.
4. Inhale through the right, exhale through the left.
Keeping equal length inhales and exhales, repeat this practice gently for a few minutes.

A time to rest, nourish and breathe. I invite you to join me every Sunday throughout May in a cooling practice to help ground and refresh the body and mind. Beginners are more than welcome!
Yin yoga is a slow, restorative practice where we focus on holding postures for a longer time and use the breath to create a feeling of ease. A perfect moment to de-stress and unwind in your day.
The first class will be held online, via zoom, this Sunday (2nd May) at 10am CEST (Stockholm time) and will last for approximately 1hr 15mins. Cost is €10/100kr per class or €45/450kr for all five.
If you would like to join but are currently struggling from financial hardships, please get in touch! We believe that wellness practice should be available to all, regardless of circumstance and will always have a number of spaces available for those who are not able to afford the expenditure right now.
