CTD Carpentry and Maintenance

A media wall and living room in Downend with lots of wood 🌳 🌳 👌
This front room had lots of cracks and bubbling tape and joints on all the walls and was in need of a bit of tlc
We came in and built the frame work for the media wall to house the 55inch tv and this beautiful onyx avanti 1500 fire, mill electrical wired in all the new down lighters and feature lighting for the idigbo shelving .Gsl came in and took away the unsightly pipe work around the bay and 1st fixed ready for the new rad, we then plasterboarded all the new frame work and frost plastering started to work his magic on This living room.
We then installed the shelving and tv, ran the new skirting and architraves round and cut the logs up and installed them in the alcove at the bottom, fitted the new rad and made a couple of doors up to hide the sky box and that was a wrap
The customer was over the moon and so where we 🔥 🔥 🌳 🌳
On to the next one in a couple of weeks

A bright and airy bedroom completed in Bromley Heath
The room was gutted as it hadn’t been decorated in a while and in true Bromley Heath fashion the bay was causing some issues with sagging ceilings and cold walls. We rebuilt the bay internally and insulated it with pir board which allowed us to put a proper size window board on it unlike the skinny one that was there before, we had to make the wardrobe slightly smaller to do this but that allowed us to put some sliding doors on which actually gives you more space with in the room and we could also build a custom surround to edge it all nicely .The ceiling was in a bad way with sags and cracks so we overboarded it and came in and worked his magic and made the ceiling flat and also the walls,gsl installed a new modern and more efficient radiator on the bay , we then installed new skirtings and architraves and built a new dressing table and bed side units and a matching headboard to tie it all in. Lastly the was installed which really is a beautiful carpet . All of this was done whilst the customers where on holiday so no disruption to them 👍🏻

We removed a grassy area and put some membrane over the top to keep the weeds down , next we started building the frame and all posts had preservative applied to them and all joists had protection tape on the tops to keep the British weather at bay. We then started laying the walnut boards and not forgetting to leave access for the manhole cover.

A full garage conversion in Downend Complete with secret doors (shhhhhh 🤫don’t tell anyone )
A garage that was used for storage has been transformed into a kids playroom with fully built in cupboards and it looks like it’s always belonged in the house. This was all done in the watchful of eyes of total building control to make sure it comes up to building regulations. The ceilings have been insulated and so have the external walls to keep it nice and warm, the floor has been brought up to the same level as the existing house to keep it flowing. We managed to keep some storage room at the front of the garage and the rear so the customers still have places to store bikes etc at the front and at the rear is where the fridge and tumble dryer is.
Internally it was all plasterboarded , skimmed and then we built all the cupboards and doors on site before came in and sprayed it all up for us
The lights where installed by mill electrical and the flooring went down and now it’s ready to fill it up with toys just in time for Christmas 🤶

Media wall completed 🔥🔥🔥
The customer was a bit worried that this media wall would stick out in to the room a little to much but they are now over the moon with the way this has turned out and it looks like it has always been there as it’s hidden some funny angles that made it hard to put furniture in.
The customer provided us with a 1600 new forest electric fire and we gave it a new home by building the studwork for the wall, running in new electrics and lighting , plaster boarding and skimming the room out and then making some doors up to match the existing doors with in the house.

Back to work after a bit of time off over the summer.
A set of Graphite sliding wardrobe doors fitted in to a bedroom in Mangotsfield.
2 shaker doors and 2 mirrored doors fitted in to a custom surround all ready for the customer to decorate. We also fitted 4 shelves off of the chimney breast to maximise the use of the space.
Within 2 hours of leaving this job the customer had decorated it and put the bedroom back together 👌

A small double cabin bed built in Bromley Heath and it has to be said I’ve got some serious bed envy ❤️
The customer wanted a double bed for there growing son and after not finding anything suitable on the internet they gave us a call
Within the limited space we have managed to fit in a desk with shelves and drawers, a sofa area with pull out heavy duty drawers and steps up to the bed with yet again more pullout drawers .
All of this was built at the property and totally bespoke , I really enjoyed this one 👍🏻

Kitchen completed in Emerson’s green ☀️👍🏻
This was a big team effort on this one to be out of the door in just over 2 weeks
We knocked the kitchen and dining room in to 1 big bright and airy space , we blocked up the back door and installed a window to give this kitchen a much better layout
Downend kitchens supplied some extra units and worktops which matched in a treat to some of the existing units
Electrics had to be altered and so did the plumbing but it gave us an opportunity to put in some down lighters and under unit lights and a nice flat column radiator
The hallway , cloakroom , front room and kitchen diner where then decorated
The tiled splashbacks where then done with some nice metro tiles and the karndean flooring was installed throughout
Last up was a clean up and colour match silicone installed to skirting boards and all the worktops

A living room completed just off of page park
Andrew Frost of frost plastering re skimmed this whole room out prior to our arrival and what a great job he did especially around that curved bay 👍🏻
We followed him in and re fitted all the old skirtings in this 1930s home and fitted these shelves and cupboards in the alcoves re using the old oak veneer shelf’s and even creating some doors to match as close as we could to the existing house doors with soft close hinges
We then made a new bay window board to match the 36mm shelves and gave it a couple of coats of undercoat ready for the customer to decorate the room out
All completed just in time for the weekend 🎉

A kitchen and hallway transformed in Emerson’s green 🏠

The team have worked hard on this one and the results speak for themselves , we removed the old kitchen and moved radiators to new positions and re designed the lighting so it was more in keeping with this kitchen, we had to re board some of the walls as the plasterboard had de laminated and overboarded the ceilings , it had a full re plasterer and then the kitchen was installed with some fancy dekton worktops and fully inter grated appliances.
we fitted the carnival moss splashbacks and the karndean flooring was fitted through the kitchen and into the hallway.
The vertical radiator was fitted and all of the lighting was installed and then it was all decorated and sealed with colour match silicone for that seamless finish 👌

And 2023 is underway with a media wall 🖥️💡🔥

We have given this front room in Downend the wow factor and transformed it with this Charlton and jenrick 1250 electric fire and room for the tv and speaker below , all cables are hidden within the wall and the router and virgin media cables have there own cupboard with matching Genoa doors to blend in with the rest of the property.

A beautiful living room in Bromley Heath
The customer wanted shelving and built in cupboards to fit into the 2 alcoves in this large room. All of this was made with in the property and all custom built , we even wrapped it around the corner to give some room for the tv, all the doors have soft closing hinges and it’s all filled and sanded, all that’s needed is a lick of paint 👍🏻

Sliding wardrobes in chipping sodbury
Dove grey sliding doors with matching tracks and all internals made to measure out of mdf to house the customers own chest of drawers , hanging space and slated shelving to house towels and bedding 👍🏻
All finished off with a few Genoa oak internal doors 🚪 on all the other doorways

The doors are dove grey shaker style with colour matched track , all the internals are made on site and to the customers requirements, on this one we had a mixture of hanging space , shelves and soft close drawers to use up every inch of available space we even managed to get the television it’s own home with in the space.
All filled and ready for the customer to decorate 👍🏻

Kitchen diner in Bromley Heath…
A complete revamp of the downstairs of the property , we went in and created a kitchen diner by knocking out the wall between the two and also a chimney stack , all ceilings where then taken down and all floor coverings removed, all radiators moved to new positions by gsl , we then tacked all the ceilings up and studded up some doorways ready for frost plastering to come in and work his magic.
Downend kitchens then supplied us this porcelain gloss kitchen with some really cool pull out bits and pieces with in some of the cupboards , everything was there on time and thanks to Theo for giving us a hand fitting it in 👍🏻
We then tiled the splash backs and fitted all the lighting whilst the floors where all plyed ready for the karndean lvt flooring to go down , it was all painted out and we even put some paper up on a couple of walls , we used colour matched silicone to keep everything looking sharp around the floors and the walls
It was a pleasure to do this job just to see the customers face when it was all revealed to them
A very happy customer

A family bathroom completed in Downend recently.
The old bathroom was stripped out apart from the window wall as the customer wanted to keep these tiles, a double ended bath was fitted and then boxed in to create space for the towel rail and the the two niches which one of them allows access to all the plumbing underneath the bath.
A new shower tray was then installed with a 3 way valve which controls the shower and the bath and another niche was created within the shower area , then the wall hung toilet frame was fitted and boxed in. The floor was no more plyed and the underfloor heating went in and lighting brought in to all of the niches, all of the boxing in was then covered in tile insulated board and all wet areas tanked to stop any moisture getting through . Aggy came in and did a top job on the tiling and we then 2nd fixed the bathroom with some quality materials from Tradebase including this frameless enclosure.
Really pleased with how this one turned out and especially love the lighting

Garden furniture made of tantalised sleepers
This will last for years

Kitchen worktop refresh with new sink and instant boiling tap
We took the old sink and hob out and sanded the tops back to its bones
Gsl services then fitted the hot water boiler for the new tap and the tops then had danish oil applied to them to bring them back to life

Cupboard created in Victorian home
This cupboard was made to tie in with the rest of the features in this home and the customer is delighted with the outcome
We also removed some wardrobes in another bedroom as the customers have not been able to walk around the bed in 28 years and Andrew Frost came in made good with the plastering and then we had to make up some picture rail and skirting so that it looks like we have never been there, they can also now walk around the bed 😉

Cloakroom refurb in Bradley Stoke
This room has been transformed into a cloakroom that the customers can’t wait to use
We took out the old suite and prepared it all for the fluid master concealed cistern which we then boxed in, all pipe work was reconfigured to take the new towel rail , aggys tiling came in and did the tiling for us which is top notch yet again 👍🏻
We then fitted the back to wall rimless wc and driftwood minimalist vanity unit with basin and taps with an illuminated mirror , the flooring is karndean washed oak layed in a herringbone pattern which we think looks ace.
The room was then decorated and sealed up with colour match silicone to give it nice crisp lines

A bathroom completed in Kingswood .

We took the old bathroom out and insulated all of the walls before putting up the new shower boards over the bath and plastering the rest of the room out .The floor was no more plyed then the under floor heating went in and these smart tiles were layed over the top with a tiled skirting. The villeroy & boch china wear was quality to .
Really pleased with the way this one turned out and so was the dog 🐶

Some wardrobes completed this week
A new set of sliding wardrobes made with dove grey shaker 610mm x 3 with matching track sets , this wardrobe is mainly made up of hanging space but we still put the over head shelf in for the more bulky items , we created the corner shelving also to try and make all of the wall useable.
In the main bedroom we also replaced some old sliding doors for dove grey and in the front room replaced an out dated glazed door for a dordogne glazed door with a matching fixed dordogne panel.

A great start to the year and a beautiful family bathroom completed in Downend.
Once housing just a walk in shower we have transformed this room in to a place where you can have a relaxing bath or just a quick shower.
We love the Matt black fixtures and fittings 👍🏻

A stunning wet room completed in henleaze.
A total transformation took place , we took out the bath and stripped the room back to its bones. A no more ply tray was installed and also a niche in the back wall , it was then tanked before tiling and then second fixed with some beautiful wall hung sanitary wear, the shower screen is clever to as it folds flat against the wall and behind the door so it gives this wet room a sense of more space . We are really happy with the way this one turned out and the customer is over the moon with it

Chimney made bigger by knocking out some of the brickwork and dot and dabbing plasterboard and latexing the floor ready for tiles
Cupboards with space for the tv and all the other hi tech gadgets with over head shelving for pictures and books
Shaker doors all with soft close hinges all filled and ready for the customer to paint

Nice family bathroom completed in Bradley Stoke !
There was a lot of wasted space in this bathroom but now it works 👍🏻
Bath and furniture ripped out , over boarding the ceiling due to some horrendous cracks,a full re plaster, new spotlights with extractor fan and shaver socket in the cupboard.
Then we fitted a 1800x800 bath, 1200x900 shower tray with 6 mm enclosure, beige shower boards and a selection of vanity units and a large mirror all finished off with some karndean flooring and fully decorated

Completed just in time so that these lovely customers can watch England tomorrow evening on there new tv.
Shaker wall panelling either side of this purpose built chimney breast which houses a 70” tv , sound bar and an amazing 3 sided electric fire 🔥
On one side we even managed to build some cupboards which houses the PlayStation , sky box and lots of toys so that this room will be really minimalistic.
