It’s been a while since i posted any reviews - so I just wanted to say a big thank you to these lovely people!!

In the world today, people are so much more likely to jump on their phones to leave bad reviews, people don’t often go out of their way for a good one! (Also, I definitely do a little happy dance every time!)

You might’ve noticed we have been quiet on social media, and the website has been available but with no option to purchase. Those who know me personally, will know there have been some pretty monumental changes in my life, and unfortunately I had no choice but to pause W&I - pause, not close!

We have now moved to a completely new place, we have more room, and most importantly, so many new products in the works that I am excited to share with you all!

For now, I hope 2024 is everything you want it to be and more - we’ve got this!! 💪🏼

Why is there wax left in the bottom of your candle? 🤔

While it may seem like a waste of wax, this is for your safety! Around 1cm of wax should be left at the bottom of a candle, which stops the glass at the bottom getting too hot and breaking.

The wick holders that are used in our candles have this feature built-in, meaning that the candle cannot burn lower than is safe, and will extingish on its own. The remaining wax could be transferred to a melter!

One of the most common questions we get when we are out at markets is 'what is that?' - It's a wick trimmer!

These long-handled scissors are perfect for trimming wicks in between burns, without having to try to stuff your hand into the candle glass. They are the number 1 candle care tool, and we'd strongly recommend one for any candle lover to keep your candles burning evenly and safely. Wicks should be trimmed to approximately 1cm in length before each burn.

Our new candle will be launching on Monday, but if you can’t wait, we will be bringing some stock to Tixall Village Hall this Saturday, 10.30-1. will also be there so make sure to grab some cake before it’s all gone!

A candle or wax melts? Maybe a little something to hold her jewellery?

Introducing the zero-waste shop! 🌎 Our newest addition to the website, and another step for our eco-conscious values. Each piece will be sold at a discounted price, but is completely unique and absolutely still ‘fit for purpose’!

Sometimes, pieces we make don’t quite make the cut, and have small defects - but aren’t any less beautiful! We also often have surplus materials (see: mixed more jesmonite than needed) and rather than throw it away, it is poured into a mould; rinse and repeat until full!
