Bespoke recessed (floor level) black limestone hearths and reclaimed marble surrounds installed.
Great traditional look achieved for a Victorian property.

Work in progress - 2 chimney breasts knocked out and hearth bases dug out, ready for concreting and new limestone hearthstones to be recessed to floor level.

All work carried out to the highest standard and everywhere left cleaner than when we arrived.

Lovely 4kW Burley Debdale installed today for Rachel Bentley in Walton near Wetherby using a twin wall chimney system as there was no chimney. All caged off in the loft area to make sure it’s 100% safe.

This is work in progress at the biggest job we’ve ever undertaken - at Chez Emma English.
Been hard work but it’s coming together nicely with the help of a few friends.
Had to install a stone lintel to support the wall, infill a stone hearth, bespoke cut and mount an oak mantel, not to mention boarding the opening out and some plastering
Ready for installing a beast of a double sided stove tomorrow.

Today we made a start on a stove installation job for Emma English that’s going to be amazing when it’s done.
Knocked a wall out between two rooms in a barn conversion for a huge, double sided, double depth stove https://www.directstoves.com/hunter-herald-8-double-sided-double-depth-wood-burning-stove.html to be installed.
Wall was reinforced using 20mm rebar prior to knocking through.

Carbon monoxide is the silent killer.
Be careful with log / multi fuel burners people.

To be safe, always burn all the wood in the stove at a high temperature and don’t it burn low all night (slumbering) unless it’s a unit designed to do so.

Empty ash when it’s cold, unless you’re taking the hot ash straight outside in a suitable container.

Troubleshooting a customers’ wood burning stove which was blowing smoke back into the room, which we solved as we found the stove pipe was disconnected from the chimney liner.

New stove pipe installed and full renovation service of stove - problem solved!
